Another staff reintroduction!

Clinic Manager

Rebecca is our acting practice manager and has been working with Aldor since 2006. She is crazy about almost any animal including reptiles, amphibians and rabbits but dogs are number one! When not busy at her second home (Aldor) you might find her hiking or on the road to and from the Okanagan. Full of useless animal facts she always enjoys learning and teaching anything about animals! Go ahead, try and stump her!

A reintroduction to one of our "work family"

Tiffany joined Aldor part time in 2019 but has been working in the industry since 2000. A bonafide animal nut who shares her life with fish, 3 goats, 3 dogs, 4 cats! Always busy with the animals and her three kids; she amazingly still always finds time to lend a hand at Aldor.

Introducing Dr. Lohat! The new owner and leading doctor with Aldor Veterinary Clinic!

Dr. Lohat grew up in the countryside in the North West province of Punjab India. Their household had many pets including dairy and draught animals. Dr. Lohat loved having them all as part of his family. Growing up with so many animals, he always had an appreciation of the human animal bond. The visiting veterinarians who provided preventative care and treatment has always fascinated Dr. Lohat and inspired him to become a veterinarian as soon as he was old enough to know what one was.

Dr. Lohat earned his veterinary degree from Punjab Agricultural University in 1996. He first worked with the provincial government as a mixed animal practitioner before finally moving to Canada in 2005.

Dr. Lohat’s goal with each patient is to ensure the best possible care and quality of life. This shows in his commitment to educating clients about good care practices throughout the year, preventative care, nutrition, and exercise. He has special interest in geriatric and preventative medicine, but still enjoys general practice because of the diverse cases to be seen and the many clients to meet.

Changes at Aldor!

We apologize for the late posting of this, but as some of you know January 2020 Dr. Pfaender began winding down towards semi retirement. Part of this meant passing the reins and selling the clinic to Dr. Satwant Lohat. Dr. Pfaender composed the following message to all of her (our) much appreciated clients...

Dear Valued Clients of Aldor Veterinary Clinic,

After working 23 years full time with Aldor Veterinary Clinic, it is time for me to cut back and little and spend more time with my family and working on my hobby farm. I would like to thank everybody for their loyalty and the many great relationships with you and your furry family members that developed during my time here. I’m very honoured to have been allowed to be your veterinarian for many years.

After transferring ownership of Aldor Veterinary Clinic to Dr. Satwant Lohat, I’m pleased to say that I will still be contributing part time in providing services to our fantastic clientele.

A heart felt thank you and best regards, your Christiane Pfaender.
