Quest Farm is calling all equine enthusiasts looking for something a little different! i have a variety of horses looking for their friends and mentors. No experience needed!
Quest Farm is a low key, relaxed stable with lots of available time in the indoor riding arena. I am a certified, licensed and insured coach who can provide an educational and safe journey into the wonderful world of horses!
Programs will be designed specifically for you with consideration given to your skill, your goals, your time available and the horse you choose. Lessons are built around building a relationship with the horse as well as skill development. There may be as little as one lesson per month, there might be 2 per week, but there will always be an additional 1 practice ride per week. Relationship building and skill development takes more than a once a week commitment.
I encourage farm visits and tours as messaging can't convey what these horses have to offer!

Meet Roxie. Roxie is an extraordinary horse for the nervous rider. She likes people more than other horses and likes to walk around the ring doing some obstacles for extra fun. The perfect partner for Roxie is a rider who wants to hang out, brush and do low level recreational riding.

Meet Charlie. Charlie is a mini pony who is unaware of small stature. He has a big personality and is very brave. Charlie drives and does liberty work. He would be perfect for a duo..parent/child, siblings and friends. He does know how to skijor. That is pulling a skier..He was very patient, he stood very still as I fell and then got up numerous times. It probably would have been helpful to know how to ski!! The perfect partner(s) have a sense of humour and adventure!

Meet Lola. Lola is a shy sensitive horse. She can walk, trot, canter and jump and is a quality enough horse to do silver or gold shows for riders with those dreams. She is currently being ridden bitless and I have expermented bridless. Her perfect friend and mentor is someone very quiet and gentle and passionate about relationship building as well as skill development. She is a challenge to get to know and you can't 'buy' her with treats.

Meet June Bug (I love her name!) June Bug is close to 15 hh and has been a lesson horse for a while. She didn't even bat an eye when a snake slithered in front of her! She can walk trot canter and do small jumps and low level schooling shows if that is your goal. I have only had her since the end of June and it was obvious that she has not been treated kindly for a while so her perfect friend and mentor is someone who wants to help her understand that people are good. She really does want to be your friend!

Meet Delemere. Delemere is a big horse in height and width! Although he has shown and field hunted, he is easily distracted..He doesn't have a lot of experience in an arena so there is always something. But just when you get frustrated with that, he saves you have a jump with some rider errors. His perfect partner is someone outgoing with a sense of humour!

Meet Lincoln..Lincoln hasn't even arrived and I am excited! He was mine originally and I sold him to a student. She doesn't have time for him right now and is sending him to me for safe keeping! Lincoln has a great sense of humour and is one of the most level headed horses I know. Her owner has hacked Lincoln alone in the forest, over overpasses on Highway 401 and gallopped him along fairways to see how fast he can go (when there is one of those machines near a school zone and flash the speed you are going because you are probably going to fast). She got lost once on the trails close to Algonquin Park and had to call someone to come and get her. He has showed both hunters and jumpers and carried beginners around! His perfect partner is someone wants to spend time with him! He is a love bug for sure.

If you are interested in learning more about these horses and opportunities, let me know. ( The horses have asked me to add that treats and pats are always welcome!)

Good morning from Quest Farm animals. It is unusual they are all so close together.

Good morning! My family gave me some ideas on how to combine creative writing with my animals. This would probably appeal to the young teens. If you are interested in being the writing lead, and holding workshops, drop me a note

Are you still looking for fun family activities over the March breakdown? Do you love animals? Come and help feed the animals at Quest Farms, and then spend some time scratching Lenny's (a pig) stomach, or brushing Dodger (a sheep) or Julien (a horse) in his favourite spot and watch him make faces! Feeding starts at 4 pm and I am happy to have you here for as long as you are enjoying the animals. Cost is $10 per person. Small groups of up to 5ish as the animals are most comfortable with small groups of people. If you have a larger group let me know and I will try to accommodate. Feeding starts at 4 pm.
