Today is Rainbow Bridge Remebrance Day…the day dedicated to those pets we’ve loved and sadly lost.

I often wonder if we’ll ever find a way to increase our pet’s lifespan?

We can come up with different breeds, shapes, sizes and colours but what about a longer life…now that would be an amazing gift to us all ❤️

Hey! Now the forest is drying up my dog will come home nice and dry…and clean, right?!

WRONG!

Don’t be deceived by dry summer conditions, some of our watering holes have dried up, yes, but guess what’s left behind for some of our notorious mud dwellers??!!

Don’t forget to leave a hose and towels available for us…I only have short window to clean each dog, I don’t want to leave the others too long in a warm 🥵 van.

These two wonderful boys have been so patient, waiting for me to officially introduce them. Please welcome littermates, brothers and best friends…Auzzie and Beau ❤️❤️!

Since joining us on our hikes they’ve found new friendships (Hook and Bart in particular!) and have wonderful stories to share with each other at the end of their hike days.

Thank you to the boy’s wonderful family for allowing me to care for them and have them join us on our weekly adventures 💕

Welcome to our newest Island Paws hiker…I’d like to introduce you to Monty ❤️

Monty experienced his first hike with the gang today, it went off without a hitch! I was so very proud of them all, so well behaved and welcoming to their new friend…and Monty just fit right in, such a wonderful addition to the group.

Poor Lola…

I threw the stick for her today and I guess it was water logged because it sunk like a stone. She just stood there staring at me and then down at it…hoping it would miraculously float up to her or that I’d reach in to retrieve it.

…let’s just say we tried throwing again with a new stick…the floating kind! 👍🏼❤️

I am SO lucky to have met this beautiful girl and her Dad while out hiking a little while back, now I’m thrilled to say she’s come to join us on our adventures!

Guess who had his 10th birthday this week? Well, I’ll tell you who…SKYLAR! 🥳 Skylar is one sweet little boy, a friend to all and such a pleasure to hike every Wednesday. So many people comment on his photos and how human like his eyes are. I can tell you his eyes speak volumes of just how smart and wonderful boy this boy really is. I’m one lucky girl to have him 😘 We all love you Skylar…thanks for being all that you are! ❤️

Boarding Lola and Austin this weekend…they have developed a deeper bond. Actually love is the best word to describe their relationship now! 💕

So…I was boarding Hook while her Mom and Dad were away and after our hike I caught this moment between her and her favourite stuffy. Just too tired…her struggle was real 😂💦♥️
