The recent 25% export fee between Canada and the USA isn't just a business issue - it's about families, communities, and everyday life on both sides of the border.

What does this really mean?
• Higher costs for everyday products in both countries
• Families having to rethink their shopping choices
• Local businesses facing higher costs and declining revenues
• Communities feeling the pressure to "pick sides"

But here's what history has taught us: Trade wars have no winners. When we substitute products to fuel economic conflicts, we all lose. Our strength has always been in our connection - neighbors supporting neighbors, regardless of which side of the border we call home. 🏠

Throughout the last years running our small business, I've had the joy of building incredible relationships with American friends, clients, and partners. These connections aren't just business transactions - they're genuine friendships built on trust, shared dreams, and mutual respect. ❤

The truth is:
• Canadian families need American products
• American families need Canadian products
• Our economies have grown stronger together
• Our communities thrive on collaboration, not division

Just my two cents as a small business owner: Politics may try to divide us, but the genuine connections between people - the friendships, partnerships, and community bonds we've built over years - those are stronger than any trade policy. These relationships will continue to flourish because they're built on something more valuable than money: trust and mutual respect.

Here's to continuing our tradition of being good neighbors, no matter what challenges come our way. And like all storms, this too shall pass - our deep-rooted friendship will weather this challenge and emerge even stronger. 🤝

✨ Celebrating New Beginnings: Viking QTM found his new home✨

We're thrilled to announce that our charismatic young c**t, Viking QTM, has captured the heart of Parth from Ontario, Canada! 🌟

Viking has been an absolute character at our farm, winning everyone over with his famous 'velcro' personality and endless charm. From day one, he's been that special foal who made everyone smile with his impressive built and determination to 'supervise' every farm activity - following us around like a devoted shadow! 🥰

What makes this match even more special is that Viking will continue his early development here at our Farm before joining his new family. He'll be developed as a jumper prospect while remaining intact.🫶

His sweet temperament, combined with his outstanding athletic abilities, promises an exciting future in the sport horse world. We're beyond grateful to continue being part of his journey! 🦄

As we share the bloodlines we are using in our program, we will randomly post some of the reference stallions and mares we can find in the pedigree of our horses.

Introducing the influential Cassini I, doubly present in our breeding program! We find him in both Beaulieu's Quadrella Girl's pedigree (through her sire, Beaulieu's Quissini - Quidam de Revel x Cassini I) and as the sire of our mare Belle Annee (Cassini I x Gaspari).

Some horses don't just participate in history - they shape it. Born on April 1st, 1988, this son of Capitol I would go on to redefine what we expect from modern sport horses. His own sporting career was a testament to his exceptional talent. Approved in Holstein at just 2 years old with outstanding scores, Cassini I went on to complete his 100-day test in Adelheidsdorf with brilliance. Under the saddle of renowned rider Franke Sloothaak, he proved his athletic prowess competing successfully up to S-level show jumping, demonstrating the same exceptional scope and technique he would later pass on to his offspring.

But it was in breeding that Cassini I truly wrote his name in the history books. From his very first breeding season, he showed an extraordinary ability to stamp his offspring with his best qualities. His impact on the sport is undeniable, producing numerous international show jumpers and approved breeding stallions.

His notable offspring include:
🏆 Olympic medalist Cumano (Jos Lansink)
🏆 Berlin (Gerco Schröder)
🏆 Eurocommerce California (Gerco Schröder)
And many more international champions...

Fun fact: Cassini I's bloodline appears multiple times in the 2024 Olympic horse lineup, proving his lasting impact on the sport.

Introducing the legendary Quidam de Revel, found the in pedigree of our mare Beaulieu's Quadrella Girl's through her sire, Beaulieu's Quissini (Quidam de Revel x Cassini I).

This exceptional stallion has left an indelible mark on modern showjumping. With Hervé Godignon, he was part of the French team at the Barcelona Olympics in 1992 and won team bronze at the World Equestrian Games in Den Haag.

But his true legacy shines through his offspring. His influence in the last Olympic showjumping was remarkable - appearing 19 times in the pedigrees of those sporthorses! Even more fascinating - his influence comes entirely through his sons (read our BLOG for more information on this topic).

Notable offspring include: Nabab de Rêve, Quaprice Bois Margot, Quinar, Dollar de la Pierre, Quidam’s Rubin, Quantum, Guidam, and Quasimodo Z and many more champions...

Through our broodmare Beaulieu's Quadrella Girl, this exceptional bloodline continues at Quantum Farm, contributing to our commitment to breeding top sport horses.

✨Unveiling the Pedigrees of the 2024 Olympic Showjumpers✨

We believe that knowledge isn't meant to be hoarded; it's meant to be shared. By exchanging ideas and insights, we help others to grow and innovate.📈

In the pursuit of understanding what makes a modern elite showjumper, I’ve expanded upon a foundational document compiled by another breeder (Jen Arevalo), which includes each horse’s name, sire, and dam sire of the 96 horses that competed in show jumping during the 2024 Olympic Games in Versailles. Building on this, I conducted a more detailed analysis by adding the sire’s sire, sire’s dam sire, dam’s sire’s sire, and dam’s dam's sire to gain deeper insight into the bloodlines that contribute to Olympic-level performance. 🤓

Additionally, I examined the age of each performer, the age of the dam at the time of birth, and the percentage of blood of each horse to uncover potential trends and correlations (for another article).

Before posting this, I reached out to a few breeders for their perspectives. Thank you to these dedicated individuals who took the time to read the analysis and respond.🫶
