Just 1 week left to place orders for FREE transportation on our Road Trip! We will be on our road trip soon, and August 7 is the deadline to place orders. That being said, PLEASE OH PLEASE OH PLEASE, don't wait until the last minute to place orders🙏. This trip is taking a lot of planning, and in addition to preparing the animals for drop off, Amanda has to pack animals for the reptile expo in Calgary. So for Amanda's sanity, if you want a drop off please submit your orders early.

Our schedule is almost finalized , and our route will take us from the Montreal area through Val-d'Or, Thunder Bay, Winnipeg, Saskatoon, Edmonton, Calgary, Medicine Hat, Regina, Winnipeg and Thunder Bay (again), Sudbury, North Bay, Ottawa, Gatineau, and of course cities in between on Highway 117 and 50 (QC), Trans Canada Highway 11 and 17 (ON), Trans Canada Highway 1 and Yellowhead Hwy 16 (AB, SK, MB). We will not be able to make stops at individual addresses, so we will either be setting up one meeting point in each city, or designating a pickup location with a local colleague.

Anyone interested should place their orders on our website as usual and make a note in the comments that you would like a drop off. All drop off order must be pre-paid, NO EXCEPTIONS! We will not be accepting cash at drop-offs.

Don't forget we will be at the Western Canadian Reptile Expo and Tropical Plant Show - Calgary August 17/18. We are now taking pre-orders for the expo (deadline is August 7). We will have our full selection of inverts, T-shirts, and books, and lots of expo only specials. We are making a family trip out, so Amanda, Martin, and the TarCan kids will be attending! Georgia will be helping out as usual, and she and her family will have a selection of other inverts and crafts available.

August Updates: We have a lot going on in August, so things will be a bit weird for a few weeks.

First up: Amanda and crew will be on a road trip , so we will not be shipping the weeks of August 12 and 19. Our last scheduled shipping day will be August 7, but this is TEMPERATURES PERMITTING, so we recommend not to wait until the last minute if you need an order shipped before the road trip. We will resume shipping August 26.

Second: the store will be open as usual, in the capable hands of Marie, Claude, and Angelo. But a reminder for our local clients, we will be packing animals to take to the reptile expo in Calgary. Any species that we have in low numbers will be packed for the expo. So if there is a must have on your list that might be in short stock, we recommend to pick it up before the road trip. Otherwise, you will risk us selling out at the expo and you will need to wait until we return to see if it is still available.

Final note: we are now taking orders for the expo and for drop offs on our road trip. The deadline to get orders in and paid is August 7, but for Amanda's sanity, please do not wait until the last minute. It is a lot of work to get the animals packed and the road trip route set, and the earlier Amanda can get things finalized the earlier she can stop worrying about it and just have fun with the family!

REMINDER! Victoria group shipment this week! Get your orders in ASAP. At this time the fee per person in the group will be $20, but this may be lowered depending on how many folks join in. In the group, the animals will be shipped to our colleague Monika, who will receive the animals and make them available for pickup. Any interested can place a quote request as usual on our website and make a note in the comments that it is for the group.

REMINDER! Thursday deadline for the Southern Ontario/ Quebec Road Trip July 20/21: We know a lot of folks are bummed because the next Toronto expo is not until September, and we cannot yet ship a lot of the smaller true spiders, so we have decided to make a special road trip out to drop off orders! This will be a two day trip (July 20/21), and we will try to hit as many cities as possible. If there is enough interest, we are hoping to head as far west as Windsor/Sarnia, and as far north as Barrie. In Ontario, we will be making drops along highways/routes 400, 401, 402, 403, 40, QEW (as far east as St. Catherine’s), and more. For Quebec, will be able to make drops at the start of our trip along autoroute 20 from Dorval to the Ontario boarder.

To maximize the number of locations at which we can make drops for the day, we will be setting up designated meeting places hear the highway where folks in each city can meet us to grab their orders. Our schedule will be tight, so we will not be able to make drop offs at individual residences.

Since this is a special trip just for drop offs, there will be a $10 fee per order to help cover our gas and other expenses for the weekend. Anyone interested in a drop off should submit their order via our website shopping cart or by email. At this time, we are setting the deadline to get orders in for the trip Thursday July 18. All order must be pre-paid by the morning of Friday July 19, NO EXCEPTIONS! We will not be accepting cash at drop-offs.

Here is a quick list of cities that we hope to include in the trip. We can also hit other cities/towns along our route. Roadtrip à Trois-Rivières : Déposes gratuites! Free drop offs!

Le dimanche 7 juillet, Marie circulera sur l'autoroute 40 de Terrebonne à Trois-Rivières. Elle a généreusement proposé de rencontrer des gens sur son trajet près de l'autoroute pour déposer des commandes. Il n'y aura pas de frais de livraison, mais étant donné que Marie fait cela sur son temps libre, un petit pourboire pour la remercier de son temps serait apprécié. La date limite pour passer les commandes est le samedi 6 juillet au matin.

On Sunday July 7 Marie will be driving on Highway 40 from Terrebonne to Trois-Rivières. She has generously offered to meet folks on her route near the highway to drop off orders. There will be no delivery fee, but given that Marie is doing this on her own time, a small tip to thank would be appreciated. The deadline to place orders for drop off is the morning of Saturday July 6.

Our second import of the summer has arrived! More tarantulas and true spiders! Check out the price list for the new stock. Some of the smallest specimens will need to molt at least once before they will be big enough to ship, but should be good for shipping by mid July. We just received the first import of the summer! We have some tarantula species that have been out of stock for a while. We also have a new selection of other arachnids: scorpions, true spiders (jumpers, widows), etc. Some of the smallest specimens will need to molt at least once before they will be big enough to ship, but should be good for shipping shortly. Yes, we can take orders for these not for shipping in July. Check out the price list for all of the new arrivals.

Calgary will be shipping out later in the week, so you have until Thursday to get your order in. **The Calgary and Edmonton groups will be shipped via air cargo, so if anyone is interested in some of the new true spiders, they can be shipped with the groups.
