AVÉ is a small hydroponic farm specializing in high quality salad greens, microgreens and fine herbs. Currently we are using a Zipgrow system for leafy greens and herb production alongside a vertical flood table system for seedlings and microgreens.
We are looking for 1-2 passionate and motivated team members to join the team for a summer internship which would turn into a paid position by the fall or sooner.
As part of the farm operations team you will work on the day to day operations of the farm. This includes:
* Scheduled planting of 20+ plant varieties
* Transplanting seedlings to their main systems
* Harvesting mature plants
* Packing products
* Weekly delivery of products to our clients
* General cleaning and maintenance of systems
* Monitoring plants and ensuring their healthy growth
Beyond this, there are many learning opportunities at AVÉ including:
* Hydroponic vertical farming
* Plant science
* Industrial design
* Systems design
* Product design
* Farm Operations
* Integrated pest management
* Robotics, data collection, and automation
* Project management
