Dear Clients,
A common phrase that is used when it comes to business is that business is business and personal is personal. Here at Canine Social House mine and Jamie's lives are both, the love we share for your beloved Canine connects us all on a business and personal level.
Canine Social House is a family operated business and we have made a promise to each of our clients that true transparency would be provided shall an event and or a life altering situation occur with one of our personnel again.
Some of you are aware and to those that are new to us or not aware, before we started construction at Canine Social House Jamie was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. He had a tumor obstructing his traverse colon and it had spread into a lymph node already. He ended up having emergency surgery and removed most of his traverse colon and 53 lymph nodes. This was then followed up by twelve rounds of duel chemotherapy. During which time we started construction. We renovated an open space into what you all see today, with at the time partners, friends and family.
This bump in the road was not going to take away from our dream. Providing a loving, compassionate, trustworthy home for Canines. So in conjunction you would see Jamie at Canine Social House with a tool in hand and his cheemo bottle on his waist ensuring everything was just so. Canine Social House opened and chemo treatments were completed with the exciting news everyone wanted to hear " Jamie your in remission".
Canine Social House has lived up to providing a loving, compassionate, trustworthy safe environment for each one of the Canines that enters our doors. Jamie and I work endlessly at ensuring this stays true each and everyday. Because you see, your Canines are our Canines - Four Paws, Two Feet, One Connected Heartbeat.
We just received life alerting news on January 18,2023 that the cancer has metastasized to Jamie's liver, both lungs and abdomen area. This is now a time sensitive matter and we don't have a lot of answers yet. But there's a high level of urgency to find out if there's going to be surgery or chemotherapy and radiation involved.
Canine Social House means so much to me but my husband is my everything and that means more and with out him by my side I'd be lost. With that being said please note that at this time of uncertainty. And being a family operated business with such a small staff, this life altering news impacts us all. I have found myself split between both, the business and my husband. We do appreciate the support from people that already know and have said they'd help out but unfortunately myself or Jamie need to be at Canine Social House to run daily operations and if we both can't be there, well there's only a couple options.... Once we know more we will update you all. Please feel free to contact us if you have any question.
Please note, for the time being we will not be offering Daycare packages. Clients that have them already can continue using them.
Warm regards
Megan and Jamie
