**Help Us Give Remi a Fighting Chance!**
Dear Friends, Family, and Animal Lovers,
We are reaching out to share the heartfelt story of our beloved Remi, a seven-year-old St. Bernard who has brought immense joy and love into our lives since we adopted her when she was just a year and a half old. Remi came from a home where neglect was a significant concern, weighing only 120 pounds at the time of her rescue—far below the healthy weight of 150 pounds for female Saint Bernards.
In 2019, my best friend and ex-partner, Len, and I decided to bring Remi into our family to provide her with the love and companionship she deserved. We already had another St. Bernard, and we knew they would grow up together as best friends. Remi quickly became an integral part of our family, forming beautiful bonds with Len, his father, my daughter, and many friends and neighbors.
Tragically, in 2021, Len passed away suddenly, leaving a void in all our hearts, especially for Remi. She was devastated by the loss of her dad—the one who cuddled her, played with her, and loved her unconditionally. For the past three years, we have all been navigating this grief together, with Remi continuing to heal from her loss while bringing comfort to us as well.
Recently, however, we received heartbreaking news: Remi has been diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a type of bone cancer that is unfortunately common in Saint Bernards and other large dog breeds. The cancer has progressed to just below her kneecap, and our veterinarian has presented us with treatment options. One of the most viable options is an amputation of her right leg, which we are willing to consider to give Remi the chance she deserves to live a longer, happier life.
Osteosarcoma can be aggressive, but with the right treatment, many dogs can live for a year or more after amputation, enjoying a good quality of life. We want Remi to have that chance to stay with us, surrounded by the people she loves.
This is where we turn to you, our loyal customers, trusted friends, and even kind strangers. We need your support to raise the funds necessary for Remi’s surgery and post-operative care. As you may know, Petjet is a company built on a passion for animals, not profits. We transport pets because we care, often taking the most uncomfortable and lengthy routes to ensure they reach their destination safely. We have never sought to profit off our services, and now we are humbly asking for your help to save Remi.
Please consider contributing to our GoFundMe campaign. Your generosity will allow us to give Remi the chance to live out her remaining years with the love and comfort she deserves. Every dollar counts, and we are immensely grateful for your support—whether through a donation, sharing our story, or sending positive thoughts our way.
Let's help Remi live her best life, filled with love, joy, and the companionship of her family. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness and support!
With love,
The Petjet Family
