You may wonder...what is our ReActivate program? Why do some dogs play with just an attendant, have enrichment time with our trainer or have play time with just one other dog?

The answer is because we provide PERSONALIZED care ❤.

We don't know any two dogs who are alike, and we know very very very few dogs who love being around other dogs ALL the time. Dogs are complex and amazing, and their care program should be the same.

We wouldn't be doing a very good job of being an advocate for your dog if we expected each to fit into a "one-size-fits-all" social program. And we wouldn't be doing any dog any favors if they're giving any indication of being hyperaroused, over-stimulated or unable to relax into social engagement.

So...we go above and beyond any other place you'll find and offer our reActivate program that gives us flexibility with your dog's day to make it a great day for THEM based on what THEY need.

And we think the pictures tell an important story of engaged, happy and supported dogs. And this is why we're a wellbeing care facility ❤

Today I graduated!!! When I first joined the Paws Family I was playing with the Littles! Today is my 5th visit to Paws and I am now part of the Bigs program! I met so many new friends and was sooo happy. Did you see my happy little wiggle!? Did you know if your dog is boarding with us you can add a 15 or 20 minute walk for your pup? These walks help the dogs decompress from the craziness of a daycare/boarding center as well as let's them sniff and explore the surrounding area! These walks are always dog led walks! What does that mean? Well that means that we go where the dog goes! We don't have them in a heel or beside was while walking, we don't care if they are at the end of their leashes. We will also stand in one spot for 5 minutes if it's a REALLY good smell to the dog!!! Here's a video of our dear Garrison out on his walk this afternoon with our senior specialist/trainer Michelle!

Here's our Head Trainer, Katie Whitebone CPDT-KA, DBTMc, teaching the gorgeous Maple the first steps of recall training! The trick to a really good recall behaviour is to make it FUN!!! Use really good treats, be exciting, play recall games! If your dog WANTS to do the behaviour, recall will be much easier. Katie offers a variety of group classes and private consultations.
