**🐾 Patsy’s Progress Update 🐾**

Our sweet girl Patsy is doing AMAZING in her foster home! 🌟 She has totally mastered her house training and is a kennel champ – she’s learned to love her space and now sleeps quietly through the night without a peep! 💤

Patsy gets along wonderfully with the other dogs in her foster home and doesn’t mind the cats either. 🐶🐱 However, she’s still a bit shy around children and men. Patsy would thrive in a home without young kids and with very patient men who understand that it may take her a lot of time to fully warm up to them.

This gentle, two-year-old Bichon Shih Tzu mix is blossoming every day and is ready for a loving home that will offer her the quiet, understanding environment she needs. 💕 If you think Patsy might be the perfect addition to your family, send us a message!

Meet Rosie!

Rosie is an almost two-year-old Bernese Mountain Dog, and she is looking for her forever home. Rosie is currently in foster care in the Edmonton area.

Rose is spayed and up to date on all her vaccinations and she will be microchipped in the next few days.

What does Rosie need in her new family? She needs a loving home because she loves to cuddle. She also needs a home that is willing to continue work on her leash and manner training. She is smart and needs an owner to keep up with her both physically and mentally. She would thrive with another large breed dog, young enough to want to play as she loves to play. She does seem to prefer women over men, but she is not afraid of men and warms up quickly.

As she finds young children a bit too fast and noisy, we will not place her with a family with children under 10 years old.

We would prefer a home with a securely fenced yard.

We will not transport. All interested parties must be willing and able to meet Rosie, in person.

Her adoption fee will be $650.00.

**Meet Patsy!** 🐾

Patsy is a sweet two-year-old Bichon Shih Tzu mix looking for her forever home. Initially shy and a bit timid, she’s slowly blossoming into a fun and playful companion with the help of her loving foster home.

Patsy gets along well with other dogs and doesn’t seem to mind cats. She warms up to women more quickly than men and tends to avoid the teenager in her foster home.

This little lady is house-trained and while she’s not a fan of the kennel, she does settle in after a bit and sleeps peacefully through the night.

**Izzy’s Update: A Treat Bag to Brighten Her Day!** 🎁🐾

Izzy was feeling a little down, noticing that the smaller pups were getting more adoption attention. To lift her spirits, her foster mom put together a special treat bag just for her.

True to her sweet and gentle nature, Izzy was far too polite to tear into the gift bag on her own and needed a bit of help to open her packages. But once those goodies were out, she loved every single one!

What an amazing evening! A HUGE thank you to Tanner, Jaimee, Sophia, Isaac G, Charlotte, Isaac M, Nathan, and Naomi for choosing our charity to fundraiser for. What a talented group of musicians. Watch your socials as Tanner and Jaimee will be putting together another concert at Christmas.

We are only a couple of hours away from our concert event… doors open at CASA at 6:30. Tickets are available online or at the door.

We would like to introduce you to the incredible pianist that will be accompanying the singers this evening. Not only is Naomi an accomplished pianist she’s a dog lover! It sounds like Simba truly loved his best life when he found them.

Remember the cute little guy found last week, well he has not been claimed so it’s time for an introduction!

Say hello to Waylon, a handsome male Pyrenees mix who’s ready to find his forever home! Found as a stray, Waylon has had a bit of a rough start, but he’s beginning to come out of his shell and show his true colors.

Waylon is a reserved little guy, but don’t let that fool you—he’s starting to discover the joys of being a playful puppy. He even had a case of the zoomies recently! For the first few days, he mostly slept and ate, but even then, he was a gold star potty training student, catching on from day one.

Waylon’s still a bit shy and timid, preferring his own space. He’s not big on cuddling yet, but belly rubs? That’s the way to his heart! He’s a polite and respectful pup who gets along well with other dogs, though he’s most comfortable with just his person in the room.

He’s also a bit of a connoisseur when it comes to chewing—he seems to appreciate the complex mouth-feel of the ottoman, though he can be convinced that a stuffed toy or rope is a suitable substitute. Waylon sleeps quietly through the night in his kennel as long as he can see you, and while he’s had a bit of a tummy upset, he’s in good spirits today and responding well to some pumpkin and probiotics.

Waylon’s sweetness and astronomical levels of cuteness have already stolen hearts, and we know he’ll do the same to yours. If you’re looking for a gentle soul who just needs a little time and patience to blossom, Waylon is your guy. Get ready for a lifetime of love, belly rubs, and those adorable puppy zoomies!

Bear is a one-year-old poodle-Yorkie mix with a big heart and a lot of love to give! This little guy is crate trained and ready to find his forever home. While Bear can get a bit startled by fast movements and might let out a bark or two, he’s a sweetheart who warms up quickly to those who take the time to be gentle with him.

Bear gets along wonderfully with other small dogs, making him a great addition to a home with existing pups. While he hasn’t been tested with cats, his friendly nature suggests he could adapt well. Bear prefers the company of older children, teenagers, and adults who understand his need for a calm and loving environment.

Wondering what the Paws for the Cause Cabaret is all about?!? We've asked the very talented musicians to provide us a little bit more info about this event. This is going to be an amazing event and we are so grateful that they have chosen us as their charity of choice to work with.

All the musicians provide their time and talents free of charge which means all the proceeds from the event go directly to Windy City. They have been working hard for months to prepare for this night. We need to work hard to get bums in the seats now!

The Olympics' closing Ceremony is today, but our Scentsy race continues through the end of the month! Windy City Rescue and Cause for SB Paws have worked together over the years to get dogs safely out of San Bernardino area shelters and into loving homes in Alberta, Canada and surrounding areas. Dogs who, through no fault of their own, have ended up hungry, scared, unloved, and homeless.

With your help, we provide our rescue dogs with food, shelter, medical care, a sense of security, and so much love. Both rescues are 100% volunteer operated and donation funded.
