Foundations
Why do we spend so much time teaching foundations for agility? All so we can be sure our dogs will be safe on equipment! We are setting them up for success and longevity as athletes. Our next Obedience Foundations class (prerequisite for Agility but gives excellent skills for all dogs) starts this Wednesday! Visit Sundogagility.ca for info
Friday Agility class working on jumping in extention and then into a compression ladder grid. Handlers are working on their curtsie move to show their virtual dog Allision to slow down for the compression grid. This dog deserves lots of extra treats for the great effort 😂
Our Intermediate class is doing an amazing job! Forward focus, solid contact foundations and clear communication. 🌟💫⭐️
A quick video from our beginner level 2 class yesterday. This is Chester and his handler Jess. Chester was terrified of tunnels just a few weeks ago! His handler spent extra time, took a tunnel home and helped him learn that tunnels are fun. Such great training!
Agility is not easy! It takes dedication, practice, and commitment. We run beginner classes a few times a year- and out of a class of ten maybe half go on to the next level!
Agility is a lot of fun though and well worth the time and effort you put into it. And of course most dogs LOVE it! Just look at Chesters happy face!
Gail had a little dance for us. Lol. I didn't start recording fast enough....
Our very large, and enthusiastic Intermediate group had a little fun at the end of class Tonite. We have the best people! :)
