Something we see surprisingly often: clever pets getting into Mouse and Rat poison ☠️

Mouse and Rat poison looks like kibble to your pet, but this can be deadly mistake. Rat and Mouse poison cause internal bleeding, but the poison often does not produce signs of poisoning for several days after it's been consumed.

If you think your pet may have gotten into any, it is a true medical emergency. Please call ASPCA 24/7 Poison Control Hotline at 888-426-4435 and call our clinic at 403-320-5200 to be treated as soon as possible. Always keep poison out of pet's reach.
