We still are 👀 for the perfect match for Ivy. She was returned last month. She is a sweet girl. A wonderful pet companion. She has done amazing in our home since she came. The only thing we can’t have is her with any of our other dogs. She isnt a happy camper when sharing space /toys with other pets. She is great with all people. Our youngest child is 12. No small childern.

Our little duo are growing and getting pretty darn cute. Eyes aren’t open yet. We have had some inquiries on the cream male, but he has not been spoken for yet. The black and tan female has a family waiting.

Ivy is such a sweet Shiba. She definitely can have her quirks about her, she’s not fond of her head being petted… But we’re getting there. She loves her body and tail scratches. She is looking for a family/single person/couple to become her best friend. No small children and no other pets in the home. She will play with other animals every now and again, but becomes very territorial. She is happiest when she doesn’t have other animals around. She really enjoys outside time going for walks. Ready to take you on an adventures.

Ivy is 1.5 years old. Red female. She was returned and now looking for a new permanent family. She is a sweet girl. Likes people. Enjoys walks, playing with people and her toys.
She doesn’t like most other animals. And can be territorial with her things with other animals (not people). Would like to place her as an only pet to a family that has shiba experience with no small childern.
She is spayed and up to date on vaccine’s.

Beware of scammers.

We had a family email us regarding a scam. They fell into. There are other sites that will steal other breeders pictures and they have puppies for sale. They can provide pictures and videos for these families to make it look real. Sometimes pictures and videos aren’t enough. Please do your research and make sure you’re buying from a reputable breeder. Do Internet searches on the person and the kennel. Ask lots of questions. Get references, talk to other people that have purchased from this person. It breaks my heart how many people are getting scammed these days.

Barrett Shiba has been around since 2008. We are located in Southern Alberta. My name is Jennifer Reid. I can also recommend other reputable breeders across Canada, for those looking.

We have tried in the past to reach out to people who stole our pictures and have reached out to the amends on some of these groups. Unfortunately, even the admins are scammers and have created these groups. Do not buy puppies from groups that state puppies for sale, shiba adoptions, etc . Most reputable breeders will only have their puppies posted on their own social media pages and not in Puppy sale groups.

Picture below was sent to me from the person that was scammed. I also posted two pictures of different Facebook groups that I would not recommend buying a puppy from. Most likely, they are scammers. Again, a reputable breeder will not post a puppy for sale in these groups.

Please be aware of Scammers.
