Our Little Piece of “Heaven”
Ya know, it’s crazy how things just seem to fall into place sometimes.
Roger and I have been looking at acreages for probably 3+ years now. We looked at a few and didn’t feel any of them quite were right for us. Then we found this little piece of heaven just outside the Village of Linden, AB. It had everything we were looking and even a couple of surprises. A large quonset, a great workshop, horse shelters and corals for Roger, a dog boarding facility that ended up as a bonus income potential and my personal favourite, “The Greenhouse”!!!
Immediately when we met the owners Don and Colette Francis, we felt at home, in their house and in the community. Don, having grown up on a 90+ acre market farm in Ontario, really knows his stuff and is always there for me when I need information and guidance on plants and greenhouse operations. As the one that will be running the greenhouse primarily, I’m so fortunate that I have him to hold my hand through the learning curve of my first year and am so excited to grow beautiful flowers and vegetables for everyone!
We will be opening in May 2020 for our first year as “Renae’s Greenhouse”. This year we will focus mainly on annual flowers, tomatoes and some perennials. We will also have a small market garden beside the green house and will continue to introduce new plants and decor as time goes on.
