Yes I do train all winter long!! If you have a horse that needs upkeep throughout the winter or a young one that you’d like to have started before the nice weather hits, give me a shout!😄😊… I’m also very happy to have you come out and watch me work and see my facility before you make a decision. I know if I was sending my horse away, I would want to know they were going to be in good hands!…and if this isn’t possible for you, I have lots of videos on my Facebook and Instagram accounts that you can watch!

❤️🐴Ike went to his forever home yesterday, but since it’s so close by, I brought him there since I was dropping off another horse as well!…. It’s bittersweet but he’s going to have an amazing life because he’s already loved by his new owner👏😍…anyway I just felt like Ike needed a goodbye post because he was a huge part of my life for 3 months and I’ll always be grateful that and gave me this opportunity!!…and of course to for becoming a new (but feels like old🤩) wonderful friend and fellow trainer!!…Ike and I wouldn’t have done as well as we did without you and Icon🥰I hope to work with more wildies in the future and don’t worry I’m sure you’ll hear about it if I do🫡😅

And of course thank you to all who helped me along this journey I couldn’t have done it without the support of my friends and family!! I love you all ❤️

First time checking cows with Ike🐴❤️🐮🐮…he’s pretty handy!👏…to be fair, he probably spent long summer afternoons on the range in his wild days, chasing cows for fun, seeing how many he could round up at once🐮

When you mix photography skills📸, drinks🧋, and pretty ponies🐴 you get this 😁…mostly I wanted a drink from the coffee shop so I convinced the lady that an evening of taking pictures would be the most epic way to spend her time…Tom Sawyer would be proud…getting someone to work for me and then making them think that they’re getting the best end of the deal😂👏…oh wait I’m pretty sure she saw through that 💩…. She always has been able to see through the gray fog that is being friends with me🥸….

I have made the difficult decision to put Ike up for adoption to a different home than mine 😭😔…I just don’t have the money or the time right now for him!…he needs someone to be consistent with him and give him a job…he’s such a sweetheart and I believe he will make someone a fantastic partner whether it’s out on the trails, working cows, or even looking fancy in a cowboy challenge!…and in a few years, possibly the best husband horse ever😆😁 if you’re interested in adopting him, the link for the adoption application is below 😎 these wildies are really the coolest ❤️🐴🦷He just had his teeth floated the other day and he did amazing! WHOAS would like to thank those of you who are following the “Alberta Wild Horse Trainer’s Challenge”.

Without a doubt, these Trainers that are working with the Alberta Wild Horses are demonstrating how versatile, gentle and intelligent these horses are.

The trainers will showcase what their equine partners have accomplished over the 100 day period, in Sundre at the “Bulls & Wagons Event” on August 24, 2024, starting at 10.00 am

The Trainer’s challenge will be officially “complete” at that time , and the final adoption fee for each of these amazing horses will be determined after the event is closed.

Those of you who have been following the progress and are already interested in adopting one of these amazing horses are invited to submit an adoption application to WHOAS in advance of the Showcase. Adoption applications are available on our website at:

The applications will be subject to the same vetting process as any other adoption application made through WHOAS, ensuring that each horse is paired up with the right person or family. If more than one submitted application meets our approval and adoption requirements for any given horse, we will be choosing the successful adopter based on a “first application in” basis.

This guy didn’t have a lot of movement when I got him, but I decided I’d see if I could work through that with groundwork because he’s got a history of being a bit of a bronc 😅 and since I have less than zero interest in getting hurt and laid up for any amount of time, I did it my slow cautious way 😁…he did really well yesterday but I can definitely see that his tendency and instinct is to either stop movement, or do the blow up type of movement💣…I know very little about whorls and ear/eye placement, etc, but I had a fellow trainer point out that he’s got double whorls and she said she’d be very cautious about working with a horse like that…it’s intriguing to me and I want to learn more because there’s obviously something to it!…he’s not a bad horse at all, he just reacts differently and seems a lot more wary and untrusting than some! #horsemanship #wildhorse #ilovewildies #staysparkly

OK so when someone says something scared the 💩 right out of them, they may not be literally speaking, but the first cow Tuffy saw did just that to him 🤣🤣I actually thought he was going to climb the page wire fence!!…I held on though and this is video evidence that a horse can go from 💯 terrified, to fairly calm ish 😅😅 once he realized they actually were going to run FROM him not TO him, I was able to convince him to actually move them around a little!
