Where we came from... vs how it's going!



Celebrating 48 years of Pet Valu, so we wanted to show how we have evolved over the years.

Did you know that we actually used to be on the other side of town, even before we were at the store front which is "Stacked" now? (Reference first picture). Yes, Pet Valu used to be in the plaza where "wholesale club" is, and believe it or not , it used to be K Mart?! Oh how times have changed, this town has grown and so has Pet Valu Lindsay!

Just over 3 years ago we moved a few store fronts down into a bigger, beautiful store that allows us room to have 2 dog washes and much more product. We are constantly trying to improve to serve this amazing town better. 🇨🇦

We are so beyond thrilled to announce that our PAW month cheques were delivered to us last week, and it was with excitement and extreme gratitude for our amazing communities that we provided cheques to Kawartha Lakes Animal Wellness Society and Humane Society of Kawartha Lakes that totalled over $11,000. 💙
This literally would not be possible without the amazing customers at our store, it is because of all of your kindness and love for pets that we were able to coordinate such a large donation, and we cannot even begin to adequately express our gratitude.

😻 They truly are doing amazing things for animals, and we are so fortunate to have been able to help support such fantastic causes.
🐶 If you are interested in helping out at or Humane Society of Kawartha Lakes they have a number of ways you can help support them including volunteering, fostering, and being a member with them.

Benko sticks are flying off the shelves, they will hopefully be back sometime this upcoming week! 🥰🐾

YUP, the rumours are true! Benko Pet Foods is back!! We are so excited to announce that we have secured a new facility, and limited production of our Benko Sticks has officially begun! We have been working over the last 3 weeks to get as many out to your favourite local pet store as quick as we can. As we continue to refine our production capabilities, more sticks will become available in the market, as well as our other products that you’ve all come to love. All of your support and kind messages has been wonderful and has been instrumental in reaching this milestone. We know many of you have had questions, and hopefully this helps! We are so happy to be back doing what we love - creating healthy treats that we know dogs love.

Thanks for your generosity 💙

The results are in... this year was the most successful Pet Appreciation Month to date, raising over $2.2M for over 400 animal-related causes across Canada!

This is the highest donation amount raised since Pet Appreciation Month was founded in 2011, bringing the total to $16M raised since inception. Plus, over 900 pets in need have found forever homes this year through our adoption events!

Thanks to all who helped with a paper paw or product donation, with 100% of all donations going to the local rescue, shelter or cause - hope to see you next year! 🐾

We would like to say a big thank you to our customers for their generosity with buying raffle tickets to support our local rescues. Together we have raised just under $11,000 from PAWS month this June to split between and Humane Society of Kawartha Lakes .
The lucky winners were Terry Jordan,
