Winter just stopped into the store and she is the perfect pup! This stunning girl is looking for her furever home.

Breed: Siberian Husky
Age: 1 year old
Gender: Female
Size: Medium, 22kg

About Winter: Meet Winter, a sweet and spirited 1-year-old Siberian Husky with a heart full of love and a flair for the dramatic! This medium-sized beauty is gentle with kids and absolutely adores them - she's a true family dog at heart. Whether it's playing in the yard or snuggling on the couch, Winter's loving nature makes her a joy to have around. But she also has a bit of a diva streak (as most Huskies do)! When she's not showing off her flair, you can catch her walking proudly on a leash or giving you those "I'm too pretty for this" looks. She does love her human companions, especially kids, and will be a loyal and loving addition to the right family. If you're looking for a fun, loving dog who's ready for adventures and cozy cuddle sessions alike, Winter might just be the perfect fit for you!

Ideal Home: Winter would thrive in a home with an active family who loves to get out and explore. She's a high-energy gal who enjoys walks, playtime, and outdoor adventures. She'd do well with a fenced yard where she can run around and burn off her energy. Winter gets along with other dogs but has a strong prey drive, so small animals or pets like rabbits or birds are not ideal housemates. She'd be happiest with a family that includes kids who can keep her engaged and give her all the attention she craves.

Training and Skills: Winter is already well-mannered, knows basic commands like "sit" and "stay," she's house-trained and walks beautifully on a leash. So, she's ready to fit right into her new home with ease.

Favourites: Winter loves to play with her toys and enjoys long walks through the neighbourhood. She also has a soft spot for being spoiled with a good belly rub or two.

Dislikes: As with many Huskies, Winter is not a fan of bath time. She'll give you the "I'm not impressed" look and sing quite the song, but she'll survive (as long as you offer a treat afterward).

Health Information: Winter is spayed, up to date on all vaccinations, and in great health with no known medical concerns.
Adoption Fee: $495 - this includes vaccinations, microchipping, other preventative care and her spay.

Composting Guidelines: What’s Allowed and What’s Not
Proper composting is essential for creating nutrient-rich soil and reducing landfill waste. Here is a guide to help you understand what can and cannot go into your city-supplied compost bin.

❌️What’s NOT Allowed in the Compost Bin

The following items should NOT be placed in your compost bin as they either cannot decompose properly or may contaminate the compost:

🌟Pet waste, bedding, and cat litter🐾

Plastic bag liners (unless labeled compostable)

Soiled, non-coated/unlined paper plates and bags

House plants, including soil

Diapers

Boxboard and cardboard (food-soiled)

Flour and sugar bags

Kraft paper

Microwavable popcorn bags

Newspaper (food-soiled)

Polycoat containers

Incontinence products

Hair and nail clippings

Birdseed, feathers, and fur

Sawdust from wood

These items can cause problems in the composting process and should be disposed of properly through other waste or recycling methods.

✅️What’s Allowed in the Compost Bin

The following materials are accepted in your compost bin. These items break down effectively and contribute to nutrient-rich compost:

Food Scraps

Vegetable scraps and peels, corn cobs, and husks

Fruit cores, pits, and peels

Meat, poultry, fish, and shellfish (including bones)

Pasta, bread, grains, cereals, rice, and flour

Dairy products, eggs (including shells)

Nuts and nutshells

Baked goods and desserts

Other Compostable Materials

Coffee grounds, filters, and tea bags

Butter, margarine, grease, lard (solid)

Herbs, spices, and sauces

Facial tissue, napkins, and paper towels

Muffin papers and shredded paper (small amounts)

Wooden toothpicks, stir sticks, and popsicle sticks

Pet food

Ensure all compostable materials are free from plastic or other contaminants before placing them in the bin.
