Dog Speak Dog Training and Educational Seminars Dog safety/bite prevention talks for schools, community workers, dog friendly offices, and families. Frick and Frack Pet Resort is unique in several ways.

Frick and Frack Pet Resort is a dog daycare, boarding, and grooming centre in Lindsay, ON. Every dog who stays at Frick and Frack for boarding or daycare has a temperament assessment to ensure they are compatible with other dogs and staff. Daycare is available from 7am to 6pm, and boarding 24/7. Boarding is offered in two ways. One, in individual kennels where your dog(s) can enjoy their time away

from the sometimes hectic rooms full of dogs in the rest of the facility. Two, in a 'sleepover' type setting, where your dog will enjoy the comfort of constant companionship of a human 24 hours a day, sleeping in the "human" bed with them at night. Daycare is unique, as well. Many daycares will offer one room for your dog to play in, and occasional outside time. At Frick and Frack, there are several rooms to enjoy, which reduces boredom from being in the same area day after day. Bored dogs find ways to entertain themselves! As well, there is constant access to the outdoor area. We do not want your dogs cooped up inside all day! If your dog prefers to stay inside, no worries! No dogs are forced outside, but will have the option to head out, should they choose to.

Hi everyone!

I am excited to tell you about my new endeavor!

Dog Speak Dog Training and Educational Seminars is my new venture, after attending the Karen Pryor Academy for Professional Dog Trainers course. My website is in the works but I am spreading the word about my dog safety and bite prevention seminars for schools, dog friendly workplaces, home care workers (PSW, HSW, Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, etc), delivery drivers, and anyone else who encounters dogs in their daily life. I also offer private dog safety and bite prevention training for families with kids and dogs. I am insured, have 10+ years of experience working with dogs and children, and have formal dog training education. I would love to work with you and help spread the word on dog safety and bite prevention, especially with the upcoming holidays.

I am offering reduced rates for my first ten clients at 15% off! This page will soon be changing over to Dog Speak. Unfortunately due to bylaws and building issues, Frick and Frack is not going to be back any time soon (although maybe one day!) Weeeee're baaaaack (kind of)!! At least, we're coming back. There were so many things we loved about BC, but we missed our family, our friends, and most importantly, 'our' dogs. Sometimes you need to leave something to know that it's what you really want. And Frick and Frack is what I really want. So, I hope you'll be willing to have us back! And we could also use your help. We're looking for a place to reopen. I check real estate listings every day for a property to buy. The catch is that there are a few requirements to comply with the City of Kawartha Lakes kennel bylaw. The property must have 5 acres or more. The building where the dogs stay must be 500 feet from the nearest residential dwelling (a property with enough acreage to move a barn/garage/building away from any houses could also work). We'd also like to stay within 15-20 mins from our previous location. I'm sure most of you know how wild the real estate market is right now, so I'm trying this unconventional route of asking if any of our followers/clients knows of a place that fits. The sooner we find somewhere, the sooner we get to play again (and I have big plans for more services)!!

Today marks 4 years of Frick and Frack! I have all of you to thank for keeping the doors open this long, including during a pandemic and many lockdowns! I could not be more grateful to you all for entrusting me with your dogs for the past 4 years, I have truly loved getting to know them all. I am excited to share with you all that my fiancée and I are moving to British Columbia. I'm sad to say that Frick and Frack will be closing its doors permanently on Aug 20. Until then, daycare will be by appointment only. Please text or email before bringing your dog. Thank you so much for all of your support, and please let me know if you have questions.

Many have asked if Frick and Frack will be open during this coming lockdown/shutdown/"brake". We will not. Since daycare involves a lot of foot traffic, the most ethical and responsible choice is to remain closed. I also have immunocompromised loved ones. Hopefully this is what we need to get this under control. And, in the meantime, I'm planning to fix up some things and maybe do some upgrades to the daycare while we're shut down. If you celebrate Easter, I hope you enjoyed your long weekend and this coming lock down is what you need to get that paperwork/taxes/renos/self care/etc done. That's my plan! 🤞🏻

We're back from lockdown just in time for the Reader's Choice Awards! We're nominated for Best Kennel and Best Pet Daycare/Boarding. I'm so grateful that we won second for Best Kennel and first for Best Daycare/Boarding in 2020! With your votes, maybe we can get there twice in a row!
