Vet appointments tomorrow morning. Where did the last 6 weeks go??

Play time outside happens really early now as soon as the dew is off the grass, after their breakfast. Then into the livingroom on a cool sheet to chew on toys and interact with the household. After that they are tired little bumpkins and crash hardcore for several hours.

The pupplets are over 4 weeks old now! Loving soft food, little pro’s at using the training pad, make us laugh at their baby growls as they shake toys and tug. They nurse every 4 hours still, but Makita is starting to hesitate encountering those little baby teeth on her milk-makers 😂 so we’ll be weaning over the next few days.

Three weeks old and they caught on within an hour. I always place a washable changing pad at one end of the pups pens when they hit 14 days, naturally they will gravitate to the surface that is less plush, more absorbant, and easier to stand on to p*e and poo. I remove the pad and install the potty training tray at 3 weeks in the same spot and generally they make a very quick and easy transition to using the disposable training pads on the tray. Proud dog mom moment when the first p*e hits the pad 💕

Day 4 - the puppers are drinking a bit more and sleeping a bit more so I had time to sneak a few pictures in.
Makita is surprising me with her calm, she is usually moving nonstop and always ready to go! Since becoming a mother, she is still enjoying her walks but is absolutely peaceful when the babes are nursing ❤️
I know I’ve received messages about individual pics and information but right now my focus is on these newborns and their momma’s well being. I’ll get back to you when I can 🙂

Last night in Mom’s bed for a while, Makita ❤️ thanks for a quiet night and lots of snuggles and puppies wiggles in your tummy thumping against my fingers 🤭
Our morning belly massage with coconut oil and then a tablespoon of nutrical and off to the vet to meet those little ones 🐶

I couldn’t find my little Joker pup! He figured out Makita gets the good stuff in her lunch bowl and went to check it out before I could pick it up. Apparently it was chop-smacking good ! 😋

Makita and I enjoyed our lunch date out in the sunshine. Two more days to go !! She’s doing great, good appetite and still enjoying her 1 km walk daily even if it’s slower with more breaks. Of course she’s still jumping into bed with us nightly too.. bedhog! 🥰 🤭

After much debating and procrastinating, we have a litter planned for this summer.

The sire Grand Champion Sir Georgio of Windermere is bred and owned by Melinda Minnis of Windermere Bulldogs

Can’t forget about Rod’s best buddy and partner for hikes in the woods.. Lager ❤️ and my cuddle buddy Cosmo. Although I think my youngest granddaughter may be stealing his affection away 😛 I’m lucky to have two intact boys that get along so well even through Makita’s heat cycle they didn’t have to be separated. Good boys 💕
