Not sure if it’s time for a trim?
Here’s a few easy tips to know!
🐾 do I remember the last time it was done?
No? - likely needs done!
🐾 can I hear nails on the floor when my pet walks?
Yes? - likely needs done!
In all seriousness - our pets nails should be trimmed every 4-6 weeks depending on how fast they grow and how long their quicks are.
Still not sure??
Come visit us Wednesday nights! We’re happy to check for you first, if they don’t need some, then atleast your pup got to go on a fun adventure and eat some treats!
09/25/2024
Don’t wait for the click clack reminder you hear on the floor!
Keeping on top of routine nail care will help get your pets nails shorter over time, especially when the quick is over grown.

Let’s talk about stress baby 💊
When we first met this sweet girly, she was hesitant in allowing us to touch her feet.
She was nervous, unsure and good as being sneaky!
We spoke about the benefit to using a ‘relax pack’ and recommended her mom reach out to her regular veterinary facility to discuss if this would be a good safe option for her.
Now, she comes with her “special treats” on board and she enjoys our treats from a slow feeder and allows us to trim her nails with no signs of stress.
If your dog is anxious or fearful of having their feet touched, having their nails trimmed or even meeting new people, we suggest speaking with your regular veterinarian about the options available to help reduce the stress your pet feels when having to encounter a stressful event.
It doesn’t need to be a long term solution, but is a great tool in helping ensure they know that nothing bad is going to happen to them.

WoW! What an amazing 10 months its been! I have been working in Veterinary Medicine for..oh gosh..7 years now! That just sounds crazy when you put it into words!
When I first started my schooling I was bound and determined I was going to work with Cattle. Those who know me know I still love the thought of getting back into Bovine Medicine, but..life has a funny way of choosing your life for you!
When I was in school to become a RVT, I had my son! Those of you who have had the pleasure to meet him know he is spirited and humorous! I like to think he shares my love for animals..and talking!
I have been working in a small animal(dog/cat) hospital as a RVT for the last 4 years. During this time, I got an opportunity to work at an Emergency Veterinary Hospital which was such an amazing experience and really did help me grow my skill set as a RVT!
Those in the field will tell you that no one gets into this field for their love of humans..however..I’m kind of the odd ball out of that theory. I love my clients! I love getting to know you, your family and everything in between! I think that building a genuine relationship with your clients is so important! I often have to remind myself that I can’t stay and chat all day while cuddling your pets!
So..if life was so great, being a mom and working full time..why in the world did I start Pawdicures???
Well, I had a long time client before Pawdicures had even become a thought..she has a rescue pup who suffers from severe anxiety! He didn’t like being touched..wouldn’t come near you..not even for treats! I went over weekly just sitting on the floor with a bucket of treats, talking to his human and praying that he would come near me. After multiple visits, it finally happened! He took a treat from my hand! Eventually, he let me pet him and then, I was able to have him between my legs as I trimmed a paw. Slowly but surely he gained trust in me..I have now been trimming his nails for almost 2 wonderful years!
It was so rewarding to be able to not only help him, but help his mom!
In the summer of 2019 I was approached by a family who had a senior grey hound. Her mobility wasn’t great and getting into the clinic or to a groomer was just not an option. It seemed that after this, I was hearing more and more that there was a need for someone to go into homes to help with senior or anxious pets. Shortly after..Pawdicures came to life and I have had such an amazing response from all of you!
I am so passionate about ensuring your furbabies always have the most comfortable experience that I can provide. In order to achieve this, I attend regular conferences and seminars on Fear Free and Low Stress Handling Techniques.
I look forward to being able to get to know you and your furbaby!
