Did you know... young horses are at greater risk of high parasite burdens as their immune system is still maturing? Parasitism in horses can cause symptoms such as dullness, colic and diarrhea.
Fecal egg counts can be performed in-clinic to determine high shedders which require more frequent treatment within a herd. Ask your equine vet about fecal testing and deworming as your horses start spending more time on pasture.
