The rink is open today, Friday December 27

Saturday December 28 the rink will be closed due to mild weather. When the rink is closed, please stay off the ice. This will enable quick reopening.

Note - The small snow bank on the one side of the rink is there for a reason. Once we have a solid base, it will slowly become solid. It needs to be there to keep water from draining from the rink. It’s a process….

Please put trash in the garbage and there is no smoking at the park. Don’t leave cigarette butts on the ice. Finally, pets are not allowed on the ice. We don’t like picking up dog p**p / clearing off urine etc! 🤦

2023-24 skating season comes to an end. It was a short and unpredictable season. Thank you to the volunteers. See you in November!

The ice is still good to use today. As the warm temperatures arrive this week the hope is we can flood the ice on Friday and have it open for one last time over the weekend.

The rink is still closed.

Thank you to the person who decided to climb over the boards and walk all over the ice and leave a mess by dumping their coffee. The volunteers who spend hours making the ice will be really happy to see that. Also it’s sad when we can’t go a season without our new boards being vandalized. The city ODRs are only made possible by volunteers. They spend hours and hours building it and trying to save it when the weather is mild. It’s nice to see that their hard work is appreciated (sarcasm).
