In the year 2000, a few animals lovers got together and formed a small association called Pet Save. They were a committed group of people who appreciated the value of animals in their lives and just wanted to help a few dogs in need of a second chance. Originally Pet Save only rescued dogs but by 2002, recognizing they lived in a community with a severe cat overpopulation problem, they began to ta

ke in stray cats. Operating on the principle that all life is precious, they were proud that they were the only “no kill” shelter operating in this community.It was shocking to learn how many family pets were seen as disposable and how many ended their short lives in local pounds or on our city streets. The need for this rescue group was overwhelming and in 2003, they became a registered charity. The first few years were overwhelming as it was very hard to hear a sad story and do nothing about it. Pet Save quickly grew to over 200 volunteers and today we, Pet Save, are still 100% volunteer and proud of our “NO KILL” policy. We have saved over 2500 cats, dogs, bunnies and even a few pot-belly pigs along the way.We continue to grow each year and hope one day there will no longer be a need for rescue groups like us. Until that time, we remain committed to helping the homeless animals and educating people on proper animal care so we may reshape the next generation of pet owners.At Pet Save, we believe every person has something to offer a homeless or orphaned animal and one person at a time, we can make a difference! ““The Greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated”.-Gandhi

Look at this beautiful fluff muffin 💙. Billy is a 1 year old, long haired Siamese cat. Once a feral little guy, Billy is now a cuddly love bug and a loyal companion 🥰.

Flower 🌸(tabby) and Taylor 🤎 (spotted) are 5.5 months old, spayed and ready for their forever homes 🏠.

Both girls are very cuddly and curious cats. If you are sitting down relaxing on the couch, make sure there is room for Flower, otherwise she will sit or lay right on top of you 😉. Taylor is a little shy at first, but once she is comfortable she will get chatty and tell you all her stories 😆. Taylor is the more curious one of the duo and will sit in front of the tv trying to figure out where the football 🏈 is on Sundays.
