In the year 2000, a few animals lovers got together and formed a small association called Pet Save. They were a committed group of people who appreciated the value of animals in their lives and just wanted to help a few dogs in need of a second chance. Originally Pet Save only rescued dogs but by 2002, recognizing they lived in a community with a severe cat overpopulation problem, they began to ta

ke in stray cats. Operating on the principle that all life is precious, they were proud that they were the only “no kill” shelter operating in this community.It was shocking to learn how many family pets were seen as disposable and how many ended their short lives in local pounds or on our city streets. The need for this rescue group was overwhelming and in 2003, they became a registered charity. The first few years were overwhelming as it was very hard to hear a sad story and do nothing about it. Pet Save quickly grew to over 200 volunteers and today we, Pet Save, are still 100% volunteer and proud of our “NO KILL” policy. We have saved over 2500 cats, dogs, bunnies and even a few pot-belly pigs along the way.We continue to grow each year and hope one day there will no longer be a need for rescue groups like us. Until that time, we remain committed to helping the homeless animals and educating people on proper animal care so we may reshape the next generation of pet owners.At Pet Save, we believe every person has something to offer a homeless or orphaned animal and one person at a time, we can make a difference! ““The Greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated”.-Gandhi

Two lovely bonded sisters who love nothing more than to cuddle on your lap, they are very sweet girls ♥️ show them love and they will show you unconditional loyalty and companionship. They need some time to adjust to new surroundings and tend to hide at the beginning they can be skittish with fast movements or loud noises. They will be 9 years old in March and are both spayed.

Looking 👀 for a fun loving snuggle buddy?? Meet Clifford!! 🩶

One year young, Clifford is a playful and chatty companion. He is at times high energy but also enjoys settling on the couch and cuddling up with his humans. He loves to play fetch and warms up quickly with strangers. He is even good to handle when it's time to clean his ears and cut his nails.
