moose podcast
Moose didn't answer any of our questions during a quick game of fetch. He was too busy having fun. 🤩
But this week's PAW'dcast guest sure did. But before you find out their answer (wink, wink on Sunday), we want to know yours: who was your first pet? 💙

Good luck, Kai!
When pets get adopted, we don’t say goodbye. We wish them good luck! 🥰 That’s because our biggest goal is to watch pets prance out with new families.
Every dog struts out of the shelter differently. 🐾 For Kai, one of the pups and dogs rescued from the wildfires in the Northwest Territories, her farewell included a nod to our staff and volunteers. 🐶 It felt as if she was saying thank you to our amazing animal loving community.
It will continue to take time for the pups and dogs to decompress. But we hope to say “good luck” to all the NWT dogs soon. 💙
Cheers to new beginnings! 🎉

Tiny Tim's Happily-ever-after
This is Tiny Tim. 🐱 And he is just like the beloved and brave character in 𝘈 𝘊𝘩𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘮𝘢𝘴 𝘊𝘢𝘳𝘰𝘭. Faced with adversity, Tiny Tim’s optimistic outlook inspired everyone here at the SPCA. 🐾 Found as a stray kitten, Tiny Tim was only a few weeks old. Sadly, his front leg was broken. 💔 Read his full story, 𝗧𝗶𝗻𝘆 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗠𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘆, in the Paw Print here: https://mailchi.mp/spcans/the-paw-print-2022-december ⬅️ His happily-ever-after is sure to warm your heart this holiday season. 🎄

This is Clyde! 🐶 To say that Clyde likes to play fetch is perhaps the understatement of the century. Thanks to the Paws & Support Program, Clyde can continue to do his favourite thing in the world in foster care while his owner is in the hospital. 💙 His owner is happy knowing Clyde is cared for. And Clyde is happy knowing that if he brings the flying circle back, the nice person will throw it again… and again… and again. 😆
We are sharing Clyde’s story to raise awareness about our Paws & Support Program. This program helps pet parents who face homelessness, hospitalization, or need safety. 💞

Transformation Tuesday
Some people may watch this video and think “okay… what is the big deal? Walking dogs.” 🤔
But not our wonder-fur SPCA supporters. 🐾
What we all see is their transformation. 💙
These are some of the 77 dogs and pups who used to be absolutely terrified of everything and everyone. Now, they are learning how to walk on a leash and enjoy playtime in a pool. These everyday things may seem basic but it shows amazing growth and progress.
So far, 33 have found loving families. 💞 Some still have a long way to go. But others are finally ready for forever homes to continue their personalized socialization plans.
We are looking for special owners to set both the family and dog up for success. If you have the experience and commitment, please check out our adoption webpage online now: www.novascotiaspca.ca/adoptions ⬅️ Dogs who have shown the most promising improvement so far are waiting to meet you!!
We hope to find homes as soon as possible so that SPCA staff can focus even more attention on those that have longer journeys ahead. 🐶 We’ll be moving at the pace that is most comfortable for the dogs. You can expect a few meet-and-greets to slowly get to know each other and fall head over paws in love.
*Please share* to help these special dogs find their forever home. ✨
On behalf of all of us here at the SPCA, thank you for helping and supporting these pups!
P.S. While we appreciate your compassion and empathy, we ask that you refrain from any comments that include profanity or may be considered disrespectful with our social media policy. Thank you!

Teamwork Makes the Dream Work
It’s #FeelGoodFriday and we have a special video to share with you 💙
14 of the 77 dogs had a wonder-fur trip to the PEI Humane Society to continue their intensive training and rehabiliation… although they had mixed reviews on the driver singing “Bud the Spud.”
Watch the video below of their journey or click this link for full details: bit.ly/update77dogs 🐾
We are so proud to work together, while staying safely apart, to help these dogs and pups live their best lives.
