We are seeking a casual pet sitter who is available to start any time, but we specifically need the first 2 weeks of September from the 4th to the 13th as we need weekday daytime coverage for holidays.

Hours may vary depending on scheduled visits, but they can range anywhere from 2-10 hours a day.

🐾 MAHONE MONDAY! 🐾

It's very special Mahone Monday, because this gentle giant was adopted today!

It was very bittersweet day, and I definitely cried. 😭 Mahone has worked his way into our home and hearts over the past 3 months. It was a tough goodbye but we hope he makes his new family very happy once he settles in.

You're the best boy Mahone! 🥹

We love supporting local initiatives, especially when it comes to animal rescue, as our Ambassador Dogs Ollie & Maple are both rescues!

Paspihew Atimwak - Canine Rezcue is a rescue based on Onion Lake Cree Nation. They have been working to help animals in need in their community for the past few years and their goal is to eventually have a shelter facility.

They are hosting a Dog Management Workshop on July 3rd. It looks like a very informative event which will touch on dog bite prevention, the benefits of spaying/neutering pets, flea & tick prevention and the history of the relationship between First Nations people and dogs.

Please consider supporting this great rescue!

🐾 MAHONE MONDAY! 🐾

PLEASE SHARE!

This gentle giant is still with us! We attended an adoption event at Pet Valu over the weekend and did relatively well! He was interested in all of the sights and smells. A nice lady bought him a treat, and the kind Pet Valu staff gave him a hot dog! Big day! He enjoyed meeting new people, though there were some men he was unsure about, but he does have the potential to warm up if given time and patience, as he was nervous and scared of my husband when he first arrived, but now they are best friends and he won't leave his side.

Mahone has been at the shelter since November, and we have fostered him for the last 3+ months, officially making him our longest foster. 😔 We would love nothing more than to find him a forever home!

LIKES

✔️ Car rides.
✔️ Playing with other dogs.
✔️ Hanging out with the cat.
✔️ Cuddle time with the humans.
✔️ Going for walks (we are working on not pulling).
✔️ Chewing on bones and antlers.
✔️ Ripping stuffing out of toys.
✔️ Kids. He has been exposed to kids 8+ and does great! We can't comment on how he is with little ones as we haven't exposed him to any, but other than being clumsy and potentially knocking small kids over, he would likely be fine.

DISLIKES

❌️ Uncomfortable around some men.
❌️ Short fences (well, I guess he likes these because he climbs them to go on adventures. 🤦‍♀️ We are working on this! Any home should have taller than a 4ft fence and bonus if it is wood as he uses chainlink like a ladder.).
