Anarch-Kitty Rescue

Anarch-Kitty Rescue Serving London & Middlesex County Ontario - As Well As Some of Southwestern Ontario Areas For Pick-Up Or Drop-Offs. It is who we are at our core.

A Safe Space To Rescue/Rehome/Adopt Cats/Kittens Of All Kinds - Tame Or Feral - No Cat Refused - No Cat Forgotten - No Cat Left Behind. ~Our Mission Statement~
"Helping pets in need through sheltering, adoption, education, veterinary care and community outreach." A little bit about us....
We are a cat & kitten rescue based out of London/Ontario, and our dedicated rescuers and fosters have made it

their life's mission to do our very best to provide care, comfort and compassion to cats & kittens in need. We aim to be a more community based rescue operation, and as such we work with the community to rescue and help as many cats & kittens as we possibly can, while addressing the concerning issue of feline overpopulation. We offer services like free advice and/or education on a variety of pet & feline needs/issues, as well as trying to help those who might need to access various services like low income spay/neuter programs, local pet food banks, etc...
Our rescuers and fosters have many years of experience in the field of animal rescue, and our knowledge and strengths combined allow us to do more for the animals and the community together, than we ever could separately. We have rescuers/fosters with varying degrees of expertise and fields of interest. One was a vet tech, another volunteered with "Animalert" when they were younger as well as other animal recue groups, and yet another grew up on a farm working with animals all their life, etc....
Most have volunteered at various other local and non-local rescues and shelters. We believe that together and with the help of the community, we can help save many more cats & kittens. Whether it be through live-trapping of feral cats & kittens. Rehabilitation of feral or untamed kittens, to our barn-cat program, where we help farmers who donate to us litters of unplanned kittens get their barn-cats vetted/spayed/neutered/etc... at our expense. Or even offering to have a cat vetted (spayed/neutered/vaccinated/etc...), yet again at our expense, for anyone wanting to donate or rehome a litter of kittens with us. We have also reunited many a pet owner with their lost pet/cat, as we have acquired a microchip scanner, to scan for a microchip each full grown cat that we catch. This will help to ensure we can successfully reunite it with it's owner, if it turns out to be someone's beloved lost pet, as well as scouring every local "lost & found" pet pages, etc....
Animal rescue is a calling which we cannot ignore. We see the need daily, and feel it in our hearts & souls. All adoption fees are considered donations to the rescue, they are put right back into the rescue and are used to care for and cover the vetting for more kittens needing to be spayed/neutered/vaccinated/etc....
They are also used to cover much needed medications and supplies such as, but not limited to, antibiotics, various medications, flea treatments, de-wormer treatments, food, litter, etc....

In 2021 we saw a growing need locally for a pet food bank, so with the gracious and generous help of a local dog rescue operation called " S.C.A.A.R " rescue, we started a pet food bank group on FB here. We help elderly, disabled, and low-income folks with pet food and pet supplies during hard times. We don't want to see anyone have to lose or rehome their pet, simply because they need a little help here and there with pet food and/or supplies. So we provide a number of different pet foods such as dog food/treats, cat food/treats, at times bunny and/or rodent pet food, various supplies like collars, leashes, harnesses, hamster/rodent cages and accessories, etc....
We also deliver 3 nights per week, to those who are not able to pick-up for whatever reason, being it being disabled, or elderly, etc....
One thing that we do not get nearly enough of in donations for the folks who need it though, is kitty-litter and rabbit/bunny food/supplies. We personally donate as much kitty-litter as we possibly can, but we are not able to provide the necessary amount of kitty-litter for the folks who so very much need it for their cats/kittens. So we are hoping that somewhere out here, are some caring people who might find it in their hearts to help out the pet food bank with kitty-litter donations for the folks in the group. We also hold regular human food drives, which we donate the food collected to local food banks, homeless shelters, homeless encampments, etc....
We try as much as is humanly possible to create and effect a positive change, not only in our community, but in the world around us. We believe in leading by example and we believe that something does not have to affect us personally for it to be important, and for us to take action in helping out as much as we can. If you or someone you know is in need of a little pet food help, please feel free to join and/or direct folks who need a little help to the group. You can find the pet food-bank group on FB, at : https://www.facebook.com/groups/londonontariopetfoodhelp/

Due to the pandemic TnR (TnR = Trap Neuter Return) has been off and on, over this past year and a half or so.
We haven't seen the great numbers we were seeing in the past few years, as far as having ferals and others TnR'ed.
Due to the large number of folks now working from home and just generally being at home more than prior to the pandemic, there was a huge pet boom and we saw a large increase in the number of folks seeking out and adopting pets, to keep them company while being home more.
This contributed greatly to vets being even busier than they normally were, and many found it increasingly difficult to get vet appointments to have their pets spayed/neutered/etc....in due time, many times having to book months ahead of time with the vet of their choosing.
This season will be an increasingly busy kitten season, where we will see larger numbers than many years prior.
In fact, kitten season has already begun here, as we recently rescued a pregnant female cat, from the extremely cold and frosty temperatures outdoors.
We shudder to imagine what would have happened to her and her soon to be born kittens, had she still been outside.
The likelihood of them surviving out there right now, would be slim-to-none.
Thank goodness that we got to her and got her inside where it is warm and dry, and where her every need is currently being attended to.
So please, have your pets spayed/neutered at the earliest possible convenience, and encourage your friends and family member to do the same.
And if you are of limited means and/or considered low-income, please feel free to PM us, and we will direct you to low-income and even semi-subsidized local spay and neuter programs.
We are here to help in any way that we can, in a continued effort to help curb the ever growing local cat & kitten population. ❤

Please take heed and have your pets spayed/neutered and vaccinated/etc....
There is no real breeding season for cats, and having kittens outside or even in a barn, in our cold Canadian winters, is not safe for any cats with her kittens out there.
I have personally had to care for hypothermic cats & kittens before, and the sad reality is that they do not always survive.
Even if you think you may have caught them in time, despite all of your best efforts and/or even a vet's best efforts, sadly they will not all survive.
I have seen with my own eyes some of the horrific things that our frosty and freezing Canadian winters can do to a poor cat or kitten, and you never get that sight out of your mind.
I wish wholeheartedly for all of you, that you will hopefully never have to see such things, because it is completely and utterly heartbreaking.... 💔

And some of the horrid feline diseases & viruses out there, that are incurable, can easily be prevented by simple vaccinations.
There are low cost, geared-to-income and even almost free spay/neuter/vaccination programs available for elderly, disabled and low-income people out there.

Please feel free to inquire with us, and we will take the time to tell you all about them, and even provide you with the necessary information on them, or direct you to them.

We've been so busy that we haven't updated our page in a while and for this, we apologize.
There will be updates this evening on the recent adoptions, updates on which lovely and affectionate cats we have available for adoption right now, etc......
There will also be an update on 3 tiny wee preemie kittens, who's mother unfortunately passed away of heart failure, not but 2 days after they were born.
They were not expected to live/survive, but here we are, almost 2 weeks later, and they are still fighting to live.

Good day all you feline folks out here....
We would like to introduce you to the very lovely Miss "Paisley".
Paisley is a female Tri-Colored (Calico) Persian, she is just a little over a year old, so still a very young cat, and do not let her somewhat grumpy look fool you, she is one of the most affectionate and happy cats we have seen in a while.
She is so elegant and we affectionately call her "Miss Fancy-Pants". ^_^
I just adore how her whiskers curl forward around the front of her face, as seen in photo number 2 - top right, it's such a cute little attribute.

Our very adorable Alfred is still looking for his forever home.
