A sad story. Always so much to be aware of..
Warning: DANGEROUS Game😭
Testimony from a person: Yesterday it was very hot, and like you, we played with the sprinkler hose.

My girl loved it she played, jumped and hydrated herself.
And yet... This afternoon she died in my arms 😢

I wake up in the night, a moan, I go to see her, she was lying with a bloated belly, she no longer moves, she tried to vomit, did not touch her pot...

I'm calling the emergency vet who, according to the description, tells me to come quickly, I'm 10 minutes away. The longest 10 minutes of my life, I wear it, it doesn't work, I call the clinic, they were waiting for me, they open it and there, I feel her last breath in my arms... she's gone.. I'm crying... I don't understand ....
She was fine, she was so lively the day before... A heat stroke? Are you intoxication? I wonder !

The vet is offering an autopsy I need to know...
Verdict 😢 she passed away from a stomach upset! It was full of water 😢 and then in my head I realize I killed her.. Yes. I'm falling apart.. 😓😓

Watch out for the watering hose game, the dog swallows a lot of water and at the same time, jumps everywhere...
a stomach turn came fast. ..

This guy. 8 months now. Wow time flies! What a sweet guy. Fireside Legends Atlas. A then and now... thank you so much for the updates. I so love seeing how they have grown and also temperaments. What a beautiful boy!

This is important info to know for caring for our swimmers. Also note that dogs can still overheat just playing in water in very hot humid conditions... thats another topic

Beware of water intoxication in dogs! This is caused by excessive water intake by the dog while playing in the water. It is a condition that can cause serious brain damage and even death in extreme cases. When there is too much water in the body fluids, sodium levels outside the body cells become significantly depleted.

My sweet girl Daisy has had a crappy day. Skin infection on her cheek.. lots of swimming.. wet fur.. humidity just festered very quickly! who knows what started it. The bugs are brutal out there this year.. so much humidity! She is on some antibiotics now and just made a calendula tea compress for her for some itch soothing and healing help. No swimming for this girl for a few days and certainly going to groom and pull as much undercoat off her to help her drying out after a swim. She has a much thicker coat than Tilly and Sergeant. She is NOT impressed 🤒

"Why I shouldnt walk and run beside you today. Because I am a loyal dog, I often go beyond my limits. So I walk and run beside you, standing still if I have to. All while I feel my paws burning. Even as little as 5 minutes can be fatal to me and to my paws. My whole body starts boiling, but I’ll keep going because I am as loyal as loyal comes. I depend on you to know what’s in my best interest. So instead, let me stay at home where I can enjoy the sun, with a large bowl of water, somewhere in the shade. A cool area with grass would be best. With all the love I have in the whole world - I give it all to you - Love your dog 🩷🐾 "
