Over the weekend my Dad was finally able to close the deal on a buck we have been watching for a couple years now. Deer like this don’t come very often but it’s amazing to finally see this giant in person. Thanks to for the hand with the measuring. Gross score is coming out to be 181”. Now to see what the rest of the season brings!

Was able to get on a nice bird this morning. This Tom came into 80 yards at 6am but wasn’t too sure about the DSD Jake....

Was able to get on a nice bird this morning. This Tom came into 80 yards at 6am but wasn’t too sure about the DSD Jake. After pulling the decoy and just leaving the feeder hen out we called him back across the field and he was dead at 15 yards by 7am.

Today was skull pick up day! Picked up 3 bucks from last season as well as a Mallard and Canada skull which I think turned out amazing. I’ve said it before and I’ll be saying it again but never disappoints. Extremely good attention to detail and craftsmanship!

The late season grind has been real! Nothing like having to sit all day, to just have all 1000+ birds come in at one time just before dark 🙃 The sight and sound of that many birds coming in at one time however is something we’ll remember forever.

Well there’s another controlled hunt in the books. Very tough year to say the least but we ended with a couple deer. Regardless of the amount of deer it’s always a great time outdoors with family and friends.
