HI! I am Theo. I am a 6 month old Springer Spaniel boy and I am here to find a Spaniel loving family who is looking for an active and playful guy to join their family. I love to run, play, bounce, and am still very much a puppy. I am food motivated and am very smart. I am eager to learn but am looking for a family who is going to make sure I continue with my training. I would benefit from puppy school so I can learn how to control my impulses.

I am great with other dogs. Being in a home with another playful dog would be great for me, however it is not a deal breaker if you do not have another dog as long as I have dog friends to play with and my humans engage with me and keep me socialised. I am fine with cats but I just want to play so my new family will have to set up a few boundaries from the start so I know how much I am allowed to play with my new friends. I would be best in a home with older kids as I am still learning to not use my mouth to play and little kids will find that scary.

I am crate trained and sleep in there at bed time. I am house trained for the most part but have to admit when I am super excited I may have an accident. Leash manners is where I struggle the most and I am doing better but sometimes I just wanna run! I would be a great match for someone who wants a jogging buddy (but I should not run long distances until I am fully grown)
I travel great in the car and love going on adventures. I have even heard about some of my friends going to this place called the dog beach and I would LOVE if maybe my new family would take me to a place like that.

Hello. Are you looking for the perfect Chocolate Lab girl to fill your heart and home with love? Well look no further. My name is Aphrodite, but you can change that if you want since it is a lot to say. I am about 2, maybe 3 years old, I can’t quite remember how many birthdays I have had as I have never really had anyone to celebrate them with. One day I found myself in a scary place where I was watching my friends get taken away all day long, they said I was next until someone came and said they would save me. I am not sure what all of this means but I do know that I get to sleep on a nice squishy bed and I even get to snuggle on the couch instead of the cold shelter floor. I weigh about 50lbs and am not going to get any bigger. I am a calm and mellow girl who just wants to hang out with her people.

I am great with all other dogs. I have hung out in foster care with a few other dogs and we all get along well. I would be fine having dog friends in my new home or being an only dog it’s no big deal as I go with the flow. I have not really been around kitties so I can not say how I would do with them but if you are willing to put some work into my training I am sure I could live with them no problem. I am also fine with kids and am not usually a jumper or anything like that, however I may try to steal a snack outta the little ones hands if they aren’t looking.

I am perfect in my crate and have no issues hanging out in there if I need to. I am also house trained and walk pretty great on my leash. I love going on car rides and try not to take up much room so we can go on many adventures together. I would even be a good fit for a first time dog owner as I am pretty much perfect.

Hey there! I am Flocky. I am 4.5 months old and I am here looking for my forever family. I weigh about 40lbs right now and I am going to be a large boy when I am full grown. I am said to be an American Bulldog x Black Lab but I may have some sort of mastiff breed in me as well. I am working hard on becoming the best boy I can be and with my big smart brain and love of snacks I am doing very well with my training. * I am going to be at the meet and greet on Saturday morning if you wanna come meet me!

I am great with other dogs, I love them and love playing with them. I do need reminders to be calm at times and stop playing when the other dog has had enough but I am doing well with learning my social cues. I could live with another dog or could live by myself as long as I can have dog friends to play with. I am fine with cats but will need a reminder to play gentle and not chase them around when they run. I am also good with kiddos, kids who are sturdy on their feet and are able to interact appropriately with me would be best.

I am looking for an active, outgoing family who wants a fun floppy boy to love and to laugh with. I am goofy and when I flop dramatically to the floor I will guarantee to make you smile. I do love being with my people but am good in my crate as well. I am house trained but will have the odd accident as I get used to a new routine. I am learning my leash manners and am pretty good at these car ride things too!

I am Soba and I am the last little boy to come and look for my new family. I am 8 weeks old now and I am going to be anywhere between 25-50lbs when I am full grown. My momma is only 23lbs and is a Beagle mix and my dad is said to be a Husky but he didn’t tag along to the rescue with the rest of us as he is a free spirit. I am an active but cuddly boy who loves to romp around and explore everything I can.

I am good with other dogs and like my siblings have been raised around dogs since I was born. I would be a perfect little brother to have following around and to play with, I would also be fine as an only dog but would need my family to take me to puppy school so I can stay nice and social. I am fine with cats and would not mind sharing my home with them as long as you remind me to play nicely. I am also fine with kiddos but would really like kids who can take me on walks and interact with me properly.

I am working hard on my house and crate training, it is going well and I am super smart so I learn things really fast. I am learning to walk on leash like a perfect boy but sometimes I get confused and will just stop and sit down. I am also good on car rides but remember I am a baby so on long car rides I should be secured in a crate.

Uh… Hi… I am Momo and I am the last Beagle x Husky mix pup to come look for my forever home. I am the smallest and am the last girl. I am 8 weeks old. I am looking for a home with another dog friend to hang out with as I absolutely love playing with the dogs in my foster home and would be sad if I had to be all by myself all the time. I am super sweet and have actually been called perfect more than once. I am quiet, actually my siblings and I were the quietest puppies our fosters have ever had! I love to cuddle and I love to learn.

I would be best in a home with another dog, one that will show me the world and let me follow them around like an annoying little sister. I am super great with all the dogs I have met and am even great with kitties! I would be fine in pretty much any family as long as they are willing to put some time and energy into helping me be the best girl I can be. I am good with kids too but should probably be in a home with older kids as I am little and can get hurt easily if they fall on me.

I am great with my crate training and am doing well with my house training. I am also good in the car and walks are fun because I get to sniff new things on the grass. I would like to have a nice poofy bed to cuddle up in after we have gone on an adventure and would love to be a part of fun things like camping or going to the beach.

I am Hercules, Herc for short. I am a Great Pyrenees and I am looking for a family to hang out with and call my own. I am almost 2 years old and weigh about 90lbs. I am still gaining some weight as when I came in I was a bit on the skinny side. I am a super fun guy and am looking for a family who wants a big dog to love. Although I am considered a guardian dog I have never had this kind of training and would not like to live my life outside by myself. I would be fine living the farm life but definitely want to have a family to cuddle. We are not dogs that are easily trained for obedience and stuff like that because we can be a bit hard headed. Someone with some breed experience would be great.

I am great with the other dogs in my foster home and can either live my new life with or without another dog. It really does not matter as I go with the flow. If I have another dog in my home they should be bigger so I don’t accidentally step on them. Which leads me to cats. I have not met a whole bunch of them but I could hurt them by stepping on them since I am big. I also would be best in a home with older kiddos who are sturdy on their feet and can interact appropriately with me. I am not to be ridden on and I am not a toy.

I am good in my crate, unless I REALLY need to go outside then I can cause a fuss. I am also house trained but as always may have an accident or two while we work together on my new routine. I am pretty good on my leash and enjoy going for walks around the neighbourhood. I also travel well in the car so going on fun adventures will be no problem.

Udon is my name and I am here to see if there is a forever family for me out there somewhere. I am an 8 week old boy who is super playful, sweet, cuddly and would love to be included in fun things with my people. I am going to be anywhere between 25-50lbs when I am fully grown as my momma is only 23lbs and is a Beagle mix and my dad well he is said to be a Husky mix but I never met him.

I am great with other dogs and have been around other dogs since I was born. I would be fine in a home with another dog or would be alright being an only dog too. I would also be a good puppy for some first time dog owners as long as they are excited to take me to puppy school of course for social time. I am fine with cats and have met some of those while being in foster care too. I am also fine with kiddos and would be alright sharing my home with them. Now keep in mind that I may try to chew on their toys and am going to be going through a teething phase so the kids and I will need to learn together.

I am pretty great in my crate, I am almost house trained but because I am a baby and we are going to be in a new home I may have a couple of accidents while trying to sort it out. I am pretty good on car rides but should be in a crate because I am a baby and that is the safe way to travel. I am learning how to walk like a little champ on my leash but will need a bit of help still to be perfect.

Hello. I am Wonton. I am a super playful, happy go lucky, 8 week old little dude who is looking for my new forever family. I was born in foster care and have spent the past 8 weeks having fun with my siblings and of course my momma. I am not sure how big I am going to get but my mom is about 25lbs and is a Beagle mix (she is the best) and my dad well, he didn’t stick around but we think he was a Husky mix. My size could range between 25-50lbs when I am fully grown.

I am great with other dogs and have been well socialised with others while being in foster care, I would be fine being an only dog but would also be fine being a little brother as well. I am fine with cats and just want to play with them. I am also good with kiddos and would have no problem sharing my love with them too. I would just need my new family to remember to pick up the toys and make sure that snacks are put away or I may try to sneak one.

I am working hard on my crate training and it is going well. I am a pretty great little guy who likes to romp around and play but I also like to cuddle up and take a nap too. I would be a great best friend for walks, beach days and even camping. I travel well in the car but should ride in a crate because I am just little and could easily fall off the seat. I am working on my house training and my leash training too!

Come and meet some dogs available for adoption and some dogs that will soon be looking for families. There will be around 30 dogs coming, all breeds, ages and sizes.

Bring your current dogs along to have them meet their new potential siblings.

No adoptions on site!

How this works: Bring your family and your dogs, look for the tents and the dogs in the parking lot. Almost all of the adoptable dogs will be wearing a bandana. Spend as much time with them as you would like, ask the fosters any questions you may have. Take a card and write down the dog/s names you have fallen in love with. Go home, talk it over with the family, hop onto our website and apply 🙂

Any dog that attends this event can accept applications (even if they aren't ready yet, the fosters will explain when and why)

Any dogs that get great applications at the event will not be posted on our main page for adoption.

Our friends from Bark at the Moon will also be bringing along some adoptable dogs to find them families as well. 💜

OREO - ADOPTED

Hello, I am Oreo. There doesn't seem to be any love for me either... it's probably because im just a plain pooch, no blue eyes, no flashy fur, i'm not a puppy... I am looking for a family who loves to play and one who likes a super affectionate girl. I am about 1.5 years old and am a Lab x Dane x Border Collie mix girl. I weigh about 60lbs and am basically all done growing. I may put on a bit more weight but I am a pretty decent size right now. My favourite thing to do is chase squirrels in the back yard or hang out under the big tree watching my foster sister splash around in the doggie pool.

I am good with most other dogs, dogs that are my size and can keep up with me are awesome, I enjoy wrestling and chasing my foster sister around the yard. I would not like to live with smaller dogs or cats though because I do chase them and may hurt them. I am fine with kids as long as they are dog savvy and are able to interact with me.

I am doing pretty great with my leash manners and am learning how to walk like a perfect lady. I am good in my crate if I need to go in there and have not had any accidents in my foster home, just know I may have one or two while getting used to my new home though. One of the best things to do is rip the squeakers out of all the toys, so I will need some strong toys to challenge me. I love to play and I love to go on adventures so an active outgoing family would be perfect for me.

CHAPO - ADOPTED

I am Chapo and I am a 2 year old little dude who is ready to head into my forever family. I am a Dachshund x Chihuahua but I may have some Basenji in me too, I am a boy and I weigh about 29lbs. I am full grown so I am definitely maxed out at my size. I am what they call a low rider because I am long and short. I have been described as being pretty perfect so I am hoping that there is a family out there who wants to welcome me into their home.

I am great with other dogs off leash, but on my leash sometimes I try to act all tough. I am doing better with that though and love to wrestle around in the yard with my foster siblings. I would definitely be cool with having another dog in my family but it is not a deal breaker though as I could be a great first time owner dog too. I am for the most part cat friendly but when they run I do want to chase them, so maybe it would be best to not live in a home with kitties to start. I am good with kids but due to my size and energy level would probably like to live in a home where kids can interact with me and play with me appropriately.

I am good in my crate and house trained, I do have some accidents if I am not kept on a routine but it is because I am still learning how to be a house dog, you see I was in a scary place with a lot of dogs before I came to my foster home so I am still learning. I am good in the car, love to go for walks and am a medium energy. I would like to play with lots of toys and definitely would like to cuddle up on the couch with my new people.

ODIN - ADOPTED

My name is Odin. I know this is probably a long shot and my foster momma and I do not have high hopes of me getting a retirement home but she told me to try anyways and see. I am 10-11 years old. I am a Husky and I am one of the sled dogs that the rescue took in a couple months ago. As you can see I am partially blind but that does not stop me from doing all the things I love to do. I love snacks, cuddles and going on walkies. I also like hanging out with you outside and just laying around in the air conditioning. I love going to the groomer and have done very well there.

I am fine with low energy dogs and am currently living with a couple other husky friends. I am more of a companion dog rather than a playmate or anything like that. I have not met any kitties but I did try and be friends with a skunk… that did not go well for me sadly. I would probably be best in a home without kitties BUT it is not off the table if my new family is willing to put some effort into us coexisting. I am fine with kids but being blind in one eye I would prefer older kids who can respect my space and not run up behind me to scare me or anything like that.

I am great in my crate but really do not need one as I usually just lay around waiting for snacks, pets and walkies. I do not play with toys and am not sure if I ever will. I am house trained but may have an accident while getting used to my new routine. I LOVE walks and think they are the best part of the day. I am a bit nervous of getting into the car but have learned that car rides take me to fun places. I will say that I am going to be a bit anxious my first few days in my new home because it is a change and I will need my new family to be patient and supportive.

Hi there, my name is Taffy and I am about 8 months old. I have most definitely not had my first birthday yet. I am a Mastiff and I am a girl. I currently weigh about 73lbs and am definitely not done growing yet. I can be a bit shy when I first meet new people but I am quick to warm up and become your best friend. I spent the past 7 months living in a cage outside until some nice people met me and took me home. They then called the rescue and asked if they could help them find my happily ever after.

I am the best with other dogs, I would actually love it if my new home had another dog in it so that I could continue gaining my confidence from them as well as learning fun new things. I love to wrestle in the backyard with my foster brother and have so much fun doing that. I am fine with cats but may chase them at first, I will just need some reminders on how to relax around them. I am great with the kids in my foster home and would be fine sharing my home with kids as long as they are dog savvy of course as I am a bit big and may knock them over when I get playing.

I have been described as a big d***y puppy who loves to take naps, play with toys, and explore things. I am going to need a bit of work on my leash manners as I do pull a bit but that is my only downfall. I am crate trained and even hang out in there when things are a bit too rowdy for me. I am house trained but sometimes I may have accidents especially when I am getting adjusted to our new routine. I travel pretty well in the car but may need a hand up as I have not mastered jumping into them yet. My foster mom says that someone is going to really luck out with me as I am a very awesome girl.

Hello. My name is Sally and I am a 1 year old Chihuahua girl who weighs about 12lbs. I am fully grown and am looking pretty in my pink Subaru Of London bandana! I am their pick for the pup of the month! Now I am a pretty great girl and am pretty laid back for the most part. I can be a bit nervous when meeting new people in a large crowd or if bigger dogs try to run up to me but that is because I am only little and may get stepped on. I am nervous of men so I would prefer a female home or have understanding men who will give me time and treatos since I am very food motivated.

I am good with other dogs but do need to be reminded to share the love of my humans sometimes. I would like to be a spoiled princess but would be fine having little dog friends to go on adventures with. I am a low/medium energy girl in the house but am still kinda puppy in the sense that I will sometimes get into things I shouldn’t and will bark at people I see outside. I am a higher energy girl outside and would excel in dog sports like agility as I can be fast and can jump high. I have not really met many kitties but I could probably live with them if my new home was willing to give me time to settle in and learn the rules. I am fine with older kids but am not a fan of a lot of commotion or loud noises. You could say I am your typical Chihuahua.

I am crate trained and will go in there at night time to sleep. I am also house trained but please expect some accidents as I learn our new routine. I walk pretty well on my harness but do get a little excited when I see other dogs and things so I may bark a bit and pull. I do travel well in the car and because I am little you can just pop me into a travel crate to keep me nice and safe.

Hi, I am Bruno. I am the last of the Doberman x Rottweiler x Shepherd mixes to come find my forever family. I am 9 weeks old and am the biggest boy. I am going to be a large size dude when I get older so please do not apply for me if you are looking for a small guy. I am pretty adventurous but can sometimes be a bit shy when trying new things. I am working on my confidence building and think it is going quite well. It is fun getting to explore new things and meet new friends.

I am great with other dogs, it may take me a second or two to warm up to the bigger ones but then it is time to play. I am not as fast as my bigger friends yet but I like to try and keep up with them. I am good with cats and would be fine sharing my home with them, I just need to be reminded as I grow bigger to play gently with them. I am also fine with kiddos and would be fine sharing my home with them too, just remember I am still a baby so picking up those toys is mandatory or I may chew on them.

I am working super hard on my house training and with this super nice weather it is going really smoothly. I am also working hard on my crate training which is also going well. I enjoy romping around outside following my foster mom as she does yard work, playing with toys and taking a nice long nap on the couch.

My name is Charlie. I am a 5 year old French Bulldog girl who is looking for a special home to call my own. Let me start with what I require in my new home before everyone starts pushing the application button. I MUST be the only dog in the home. I can have dog friends as I do like to coexist with others outside of the home but I can not live with them full time. Now this is something my new family can continue working on with me but to start I would prefer to be an only dog. I am not reactive to dogs outside, on walks or anything like that. I can be food reactive with other dogs. Never with people. I also will need to be in a home with experienced smooshy face owners. This is because I am a brachycephalic dog (flat face) and I can not have much exercise in the summertime.

Alright here is some more about me. I am good with cats and would be fine sharing my home with them. I am pretty laid back and would prefer hanging out in the A/C rather than going on a walk. I am fine with kids but would prefer older kids as I am not into a lot of noise or commotion. I do snore and snort because of my breed and I have been bred before.

I am crate trained but do not need to go in one as I do not get into anything unless it is yummy food left out on the table. I am house trained and have not had one accident while being in my foster home. I walk pretty great on my leash but only like to go for short walks when it is above 20 degrees out. I do travel well in the car and would be fine in an apartment or a house.
