In honour of World Pet Memorial Day, I would love for us to post photos of our beloved pets who have crossed the rainbow bridge. While I realize this may be a difficult exercise for some, I encourage you to try if you can. I know, personally, how healing this can be in the grief process and healing after a pet loss.

If you were touched personally by the love and loyalty of your departed pet, please post a photo of them in the comments and share part of their story. We will celebrate their lives with you and get to remember the fun, quirky things, or special times we shared with them as a family.

I can't wait to see all these photos as we honour and remember your pets today. What a great tribute to their lives.

They have five different categories of self-care that pertain to Emotional Self-Care, Physical Self-care, Cognitive Self-Care, Social Self-Care, and Spiritual Self-Care.

According to the fact sheet, Euthanasia: Making the Decision, on Animal Humane, "While some pets die of old age in the comfort of their own home, many others become seriously ill, get injured in some way, or experience a significantly diminished quality of life as they grow very old. In these situations, it may be necessary for you to consider having your pet euthanized to spare them from pain and suffering. Here are some suggestions for dealing with this difficult decision, as well as some information about the euthanasia procedure itself."
