Today we’re celebrating Kaitlyn, the newest addition to our amazing RVT team! ✨
Kaitlyn joined us this fall, and she has already become such a joyful part of our clinic—kind, hilarious, and truly exceptional at what she does. She brings laughter to our days and compassion to every patient she meets.

With a strong interest in surgery and emergency medicine, Kaitlyn has been a natural fit for our Urgent Care team. We’re so grateful to have her talent, positivity, and big heart in our clinic. 💙

What was your very first pet’s name, and what kind of animal were they? Brandy and she was a mixed breed dog 🐶

What’s one thing you can’t live without at work? Fine tip special pen

What’s your favorite thing about working in veterinary medicine? My favourite thing about vet med is anesthesia and being able to provide the best care possible to every patient

If you weren’t working in vet med, what other career might you have pursued? I honestly can’t picture myself doing anything other than vet med I really love the field but maybe sport rehabilitation.

✨ We had such a fun time doing the Hyde Park Santa Claus Parade yesterday with our families! Thank you to everyone who came out to watch. It was a blast! We hope you guys enjoyed the pet goodie bags 🐶🐱❤. We definitely plan on being there again next year!

Today we’re celebrating Hannah, one of our incredible RVTs! ✨ Her decade of experience, calm energy, and genuine kindness put every pet—and every staff member—instantly at ease. We feel so lucky to have her as part of our team, and we’re grateful every day for the expertise and heart she brings to the clinic. ❤️

What was your very first pet’s name, and what kind of animal were they?
Prickles - He was a hedgehog

Blonde coffee, with milk and sugar. Very basic 😂

What’s one thing you can’t live without at work?
The Veterinary Assistants! And my bandage scissors.

What’s your favorite thing about working in veterinary medicine?
The variety, I am still learning every day!

If your pet could talk, what’s the first thing you think they’d say?
All my cats would ask for more snacks! 🐱

If you weren’t working in vet med, what other career might you have pursued?
I never considered anything else!

Cold Weather Safety for Your Pets ❄️

We resisted the snow for long enough, and now it seems to be here for good. It’s important to make sure your pets stay safe in this cold weather! Here are a few easy winter tips to help protect them in the cold:

🐕 Limit Outdoor Time: Pets can develop frostbite or hypothermia, so keep outings short and make sure they have warm, comfy spots indoors.
🐾 Protect Their Paws: Snow, ice, and salt can be tough on paws. Pet-safe booties are great for winter walks, and don’t forget to rinse and dry paws afterward.
🧥 Layer Up: Short-haired, senior, or sensitive pets often benefit from a warm coat or sweater when heading outside.
🚗 Check Your Car: Cats may curl up under car hoods for warmth—always give your hood a tap before starting the engine.

✨Today we’re celebrating our amazing RVT, Dani! Her energy, humour, and love for animals brighten every single day at the clinic. 🐾

Dani is passionate about emergency care, anesthesia, and fear-free medicine—and she treats every pet like her own. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her many animals, family, and friends (often with her adventure cat, Stuart, by her side!). 💙

Dani is currently on maternity leave, but we can't wait to have her back next year!
