Shadowlane Stables is a beautiful 50 acre riding facility, located west of London, Ontario. Opened to the public in 2000, Shadowlane Stables offers a variety of services to the equine community. Our lesson programs offer safe education for beginner to advanced riders. Our students attend local schooling and Trillium shows. We are also offering March break and summer camps. There is something for everyone at Shadowlane Stables!
Another great show at Caledon Silver! We are so lucky to have such a great group of horses and riders to spend these shows with.

Three horse shows down before its even June!? Its been a busy month for Shadowlane's show team with several early season shows. We attended Silver Central 1 and 2 at CEP and Southwest Millside Trillium show #1.
Its been a great start to the 2024 show season with many new partnerships making their show debuts and returning horse and rider pairs aiming for new goals this season! I want to thank all of the riders, parents, siblings, friends and family members who attended these shows. You have all shown incredible horsemanship and care for your equine partners, sportsmanship towards other riders, patience on long show days, and grit in less then pristine weather these last three shows and the Shadowlane Team couldn't be prouder.
We look forward to more shows to come this season!
We have spaces available in our PA Day camp this Friday (May 31, 2024) for kids aged 5-12!
Camp is a great way for children to explore horses both on the ground and on their backs in a safe, experienced environment. Campers will be involved in the daily care for the horses as well as a riding lesson each day, crafts, learning about horsemanship, and weather appropriate games. Campers do not need previous riding experience, just a love of horses!
Camp runs 9am-4pm
$100 + HST per camper

Spots available in Di Langmuir Hunter Clinic this Sunday
Shadowlane Stables is excited to be hosting a clinic with Di Langmuir. She is a certified coach specialist with over 35 years of experience in Canada and internationally, as well as a judge and steward for Equestrian Canada.
We have a few spaces available in the clinic this Sunday (March 24th). Individual spots available or space for a barn wanting to bring their own group of four riders. Spots suitable for short stirrup to 3’0 hunter riders and everything in between. The clinic will be run out of the lovely Wood Acres arena and stalls in the well insulated barn will be available for use during the clinic.

March Break Horse Camp!
Shadowlane Stables has space available in its upcoming March Break Camp for kids aged 4 to 12.
Camp is a great way for children to explore horses both on the ground and on their backs in a safe, experienced environment. We are excited to announce that we have open spots in our winter horseback riding lessons!
Our knowledgeable coaches and trusted school horses are experienced in teaching riders of all levels, from experienced riders to those who have never gotten in the saddle.
Our riding program usually fills quickly, so we expanded our program to offer more lessons and welcome new riders this winter! Lessons will take place in our new winter lesson facility with a cozy barn and big indoor arena. Lessons available on weeknights and weekends.

That’s a wrap for the 2023 regular horse show season!
Shadowlane team has had a great 2023 show season attending the Silver Caledon shows, Silver Wild Card, and Southwest Trillium shows. It was a big group of 22 Shadowlane horses competing, but thanks to our wonderful riders and their supportive families, along with an amazing staff, we were able to have a smooth and successful season! Thank you to everyone who has made our show team such great community!

Riding Lessons at Shadowlane Stables for new riders! No prior horse experience needed! Open to children ages 4 and up, teens, and to adults.
Shadowlane Stables has a few riding spots open for our May introductory "Learn to Ride" program! This program is perfect for those with little to no horse experience or need a riding refresher. These one-on-one lessons teach riders all the basics; including handling, grooming, tacking and untacking, and of course riding.
Our May program is 4 weeks, May 1 to May 28 with 1 lesson per week and has openings on Tuesday evenings, Wednesday evenings, and Saturday morning and afternoons.

Livie & Isabelle on their lease of Top Gun (Gunner)! These two aspiring young riders will be sharing our veteran show horse as they work towards the show ring. Gunner has taken many new riders to the ring, and we know that he will be a great teacher for his new riders. We can't wait to see these riders grow!
Nia & the sister duo Via & Abigail on their lease of Chromatic (Domino)! Domino has taken three young riders under his wing this year. We are lucky to have two great families to dote on Domino as he shows his riders the ropes of showing and beyond. We know that these riders have a fun year ahead!
Isabelle on her lease of At Large (Joey)! Isabelle is moving up from the small pony divisions with Beaverwood's Ivy, to this fabulous large pony prospect! Joey had a great first show season last year and we know there are many more to come. We are so excited for this adorable pony pair!

Daniella went into the show ring for the very first time last year with Top Gun, and this year she will continue her riding journey with Bling. Lindsey on her purchase of Ares Roman Empire (Roman). Lindsey had a great first season with Roman, and we are so excited that she decided to buy Roman at the end of the lease term so that they could continue to grow together!
Maya and her family on their purchase of RealBigWig (Russell). Starting as a lease, Maya and Russell had a great first season together, going all the way to OHJA finals. And with a bond like that its no wonder they decided to buy Russell!

Audrey on her lease of Beaverwood’s Ivy (“Ivy”)! Audrey leased our shortie master Minnie Mouse last year and we are so excited to see her step up with our small pony Ivy. Ivy has an impressive track record on silver and gold circuits and tons to teach her new rider. We can already tell that these two will be ones to watch in the pony ring next year!
Taryn on her lease of Tickety-Boo (Boo)! Our eye-catching large pony Boo is eager to enter the show ring with her new rider. We are so excited for this pair, it will be both Taryn and Boo’s first full show season next year, but already they have made leaps and bounds together.
Oliver on his lease of Olina! Olina completed her first full show season last year with our trainer Ayla, and we are so excited that she is able to have a kid of her own this year. Oliver is stepping out of the pony ring with this lovable mare, and we know they will have a wonderful time learning and growing with each other next season.

Super Sunday at OHJA finals! Two of our riders who qualified by winning their divisions at Silver Playoffs competed on Sunday at Caledon. It was a great experience and our horses and riders gave a great performance.

Silver Playoffs was a great event! Our riders got to compete with the best in the province and demonstrate all they have learned this year. Click on the picture of each of our riders to see their Playoff accomplishments.

Thank you to the braiders who made sure our horses looked their best. Thank you to the Shadowlane staff who stayed at home to keep the barn running while we were away. And thank you to everyone who cheered us on this season. We are so lucky to have such a great community that makes showing all the more wonderful.
Shadowlane riders have one more finals, as three of our riders qualified for the OHJA finals by coming in first overall in their Playoff division. We wish them the best of luck!

Today marks the first day of Silver Playoffs! With all of our show team qualified, we are so excited for a great finale to the show season!
Everyone worked so hard to get to Playoffs throughout the season, especially at the CEP Silver #5, the last Caledon show of the season. CEP #5 was a great show all around, with our riders and horses showing off their progress and demonstrating they were ready to face off at Playoffs.

Last week saw another great Silver show at Caledon Equestrian Park! Our horses and riders have worked hard preparing for this show and it shows in their continued improvements in the ring!
