Today, we pause to honor the beloved pets who have crossed the Rainbow Bridge. The loyal companions, gentle souls, and furry family members who gave us unconditional love and left paw prints on our hearts. 🐾💔

As veterinary professionals, we are privileged to walk alongside pets and their families during some of life’s most beautiful and most difficult moments. We remember each tail wag, every purr, the kisses, the cuddles, and the quiet goodbyes. Though they are no longer by our side, their spirit lives on in our stories, our memories, and the love we carry forward.

To all who have loved and lost: your grief is real, your bond was deep, and your pet will never be forgotten

We would like to share that Judith Emery, one of our wonderful Rehabilitation Technicians, will be leaving Sears Animal Hospital at the end of August.
Judith has been an invaluable part of our team over the past year, providing incredible care and dedication to our rehab patients (and their families!). We feel very fortunate to have had her with us during this season, and though we’ll miss her greatly, we’re excited to see all the amazing things she will go on to do.
We are so grateful for the time, knowledge, and compassion Judith has shared with us, and we wish her nothing but the very best as she moves forward on her next adventure.

🐾 Exciting Update from Sears Animal Hospital! 🐾

We hired a new vet, but after one too many naps on the job, we decided to add virtual annual exams and non emergent appointments for the month of August instead!

As we head into a season of vacations and transitions, we’re committed to making sure your pets continue to receive the high-quality care you expect, without delays.
To help us maintain our standard of care while some of our team members take some well-deserved vacation time and as we actively search for a new veterinarian to join our Sears family, we're introducing a new way to support you and your pets: VetWise (formerly SmartVet)!

💻 What is VetWise?
VetWise provides trusted virtual locum veterinary services, meaning your pets will still be seen right here in the clinic you know and love, with the support of our in-clinic team, plus the added expertise of licensed veterinarians via secure virtual consultations.

✔️ Years of experience providing top-tier virtual care
✔️ A passion for supporting pets and their people, just like us!

It is with both heavy hearts and warm wishes that we announce that Dr. Caroline will be leaving Sears Animal Hospital later this summer, as she will be moving out of London to live closer to friends and family.

Since joining us as a new graduate in 2021, Dr. Caroline has become an invaluable member of our team. Her compassion, dedication, and gentle nature quickly made her beloved by our staff, clients, and, of course, their pets. It is never easy to say goodbye, especially to someone who has made such a lasting impact, but we are incredibly excited for the new adventures that await her as she moves on to the next chapter in her life and career.

Dr. Caroline will begin transitioning out of the clinic in August and will only be in a few days each week during that time. By September, she will have fully relocated and will no longer be practicing at Sears.

We know many of you (and your furry companions) will miss her greatly. While we know they are big shoes to fill, we are actively working on welcoming a new veterinarian to our team who will continue to provide the same level of compassionate care.

We kindly ask for your patience and understanding during this transition period, as there may be some temporary changes to our availability and limited appointment slots until a new veterinarian joins us and is fully integrated into the team and working alongside Dr. Bonnie.

Dr. Caroline would like to extend her heartfelt thanks to all the pets and owners who have entrusted her with their care over the last few years. She is leaving with deep gratitude and warm wishes for everyone at Sears, both two- and four-legged.

Please join us in wishing Dr. Caroline all the very best in her new journey. She will always be a part of the Sears Animal Hospital family. 💙
