As you know in November I got bit by a cat and got horribly infected - after 5 weeks I went back to work ... within two weeks of reopening I got COVID.

It was then that I gave up on 2022.

I know I've left many of you hanging as I've dealt with the physical and mental repercussions of the past two months. I understand that I may have lost clients (rightfully so after going no contact) but I really appreciate those who have stuck around.

As a business owner I likely shouldn't shut down in times of stress and illness but as an imperfect human this is what sometimes happens. I'm so grateful for those who understand. I truly have the best clients in the world ❤

Everyday I wake up hoping that I can announce that I'm up and running. My body keeps humbling me letting me know that I'm not ready. I can't pick up a plate with my left hand without doubling over in pain - much less managing a dog.

The IV is gone but I'm now on strong oral antibiotics which make me sleepy and give me an upset stomach.

I'm hoping I can be back in action the week of December 5th as that's when I'm off antibiotics and post specialist appointments.

I know that many will have to book elsewhere- as you should. I just want to thank you for your support. I'm sorry for everything. Every job has risks and mine hurt physically and emotionally.

Hello friends - I am still not healed. I continue to be on IV antibiotics 3x per day until Monday. My wrist is still in pain but I'm happy to say that the infection has gone down. It had been trucking up my arm at a good pace but now there is little redness. I will not be taking clients next week. I'm so sorry to let you all down. I'm trying hard to get better and be there for you.

Just an update - I continue to be on IV antibiotics and in pain. I don't anticipate returning to work this week at all. Hoping to be fully back in action on Monday the 14th.
I understand if you have to book elsewhere and I'm so sorry. If I heal faster I will let you know. I'm so lucky to have you as clients ❤

Unfortunately I've been badly bit by a cat and ended up at the hospital on IV antibiotics. I'm home now but in excruciating pain - I go to the cellulitis clinic tomorrow morning to determine next steps. I have to close for a few days and will reach out to those who have appointments. I'm sorry.

I have the BEST clients and I love my job more than I can articulate. I’m working on some initiatives to make your experience better - conversely I need you to help. Payment is now required before I can release your pets. Unfortunately I cannot wait to get paid 😞. Petsmart makes you check out before you leave … and I feel like I give them a better experience. So please pay as your dog/cat is released to you.

OK! The government has now indicated that groomers can take curbside appointments for 'necessary services' to prevent an animal from needing Veterinary care in the near future.

Examples would be: nail clipping - where the nails are long and causing discomfort and severe matting affecting mobility.

Should your dog be experiencing discomfort related to lack of grooming please let me know and we will set up an appointment!

If it is just a maintenance groom you require, I'm hopeful we will get the full green light next week to make your animal beautiful.
