Welcome to Half Diamond Ranch. We are a family from Southern Alberta. Our main focus is training and selling horses, as well as raising and breeding Rottweilers.

We we do have a bit of a funny farm though with a "few" other animals.

Horse on consignment 2017 AQHA “Smartie”

Don’t want to miss out on this amazing quiet coming 7 year old AQHA mare, she’s 15.1HH.
Before anything take a look at her papers !! She is working cowhorse bred and quiet as they come !!! Ranch horse, working cow horse, trail riding or more this mare can do it all!!
She is extremely quiet, zero buck or bolt. She completely adores kids, can handle time off with no funny business when you get back on.
Would be perfect to help teach your kid to ride then mom can head out to check cows or head into the hills on a safe mount!
Teeth done, deworming and was just trimmed. Put shoes on her in the summer for riding but she doesn’t need shoes.

We will be picky where she goes; she will not be first come first serve !!

Thank you isn’t enough to Clint of Circle C Team Roping for putting on an amazing roping series for the kids !!!

It was so fun to see the kids gain confidence, and have them both improve so much in their own way.

Tuff was born with a rope in his hand but nerves sure get the best of him, was an amazing opportunity for him to get over that !!

Haze has had a hell of a time for a while trying to figure out how to rope with a- bent the wrong direction arm and she sure started to figure it out, this gave her added drive to practise !!
•
Year end Tuff came home with some new hardware as top heeler and a new Smarty for High Point in his age, with some stiff competition. Congrats too all the ropers who showed up; all the winners, the future is bright in roping.

When the weanling you got at 15 and trained by your self is now the horse your son rides, and they kinda have the same personality and kinda look alike 😂😂 it all hits a little deeper !!! ♥️🥰 pretty fun watching these two together !! Tuff & Milo

This is the hardest post I think I’ve ever had to make. Rest Easy Big Chief ♥️ 💔you were a big old souled, bull in a china shop, smart as a whip, handsome, hilarious, kid and people loving gorilla, who everyone loved, you had the perfect temperament and confirmation. Till we meet again I love you Big Chief, you were the absolute best, gone FAR, FAR to soon ♥️

I know people will ask what happen and at this point please know we have NO IDEA !! All we know is on my birthday he was let outside to p*e, seen playing with Loretta, then didn’t see him for a bit, started calling to come inside and him not coming (VERYYY out of character for him) we went looking and found him passed away in front of our garage. Not a mark on him but he was gone. We have taken him for an Autopsy so hopefully we can get some answers but for now we wait heart broken and wondering what in the actual FU** happened. My heart is more than shattered, I will be taking a long break from social media, try to heal from another giant loss. I’ve been trying to cope, doing a p**s poor job, so huge thank you to those special people around us who have tried to pick me up and help to get us through this devastating loss. Thank you 🙏🏼 •
We spent thousands on him, thousands to save him, getting him through Parvo, etc, it was worth every cent cause we had him. Thinking about the puppies he would bring into the world and in general because of the dog he was, made it all worth it. 💔

Our program and life has taken hit after hit as some of you may know, made the decision to retire Nikki due to her age, my aunt passed away, we lost a puppy due to a fluke bad luck incident, Willa Dean didn’t pass her OFA eye exam but powered through. Bad things happen in 3.. we’ll death does but I figured had enough stress. Powered through knowing we family, friends & other dogs. Solid base with Loretta Lynn and Big Chief for breeding, until now. Now our house is unbearably quiet, and death came in 3- I’m not sure what the future holds for breeding, hopefully I can move forward maybe get an exact copy of Big Chief once my heart heals but for now please enjoy some pictures and videos of the amazing boy 😭♥️💔
