Another dry goods shipment arrived today. Lots of stuff we were low on and some stuff we were out of. This summer has been busy here at living reef, and it doesn’t look like it’s going to slow down! We also have a large order due late next week with products from Neptune, Ecotech, Nyos, BRS and more.
If there’s anything you need, let us know. If we don’t have it, we can get it!

On a side note…..
We have also decided to open a second Living Reef location in the maritimes. Tell us where you’d like to see to a second location of the best reef store on the east coast!

Zooplankton is an essential building block of a healthy reef. These organisms consume planktonic algae and transfer energy to invertebrates, fish and corals. In doing so, they effectively aid in increasing clarity of your aquarium's water column. 🦐🦀🪸🐠

Zooplankton also aids in facilitating your reef's nutrient breakdown through consuming the tiny particles left behind from the clean-up crew. The dissolved organic matter created by Zooplankton is then utilized in the aquarium's microbial cycle.🍤🍣

Due to the relatively quick gestation period and life span of these species, Zooplankton plays a vital role in maintaining balance in your reef. They will help to keep populations of common pests such as diatoms and dinoflagellates in check by consuming them.⚖️
