We have been seeing lots of haircuts lately! Which is great! We know it’s been cold out but maintaining your dogs coat and keeping it in good condition is important. Especially because the snow sticks to their coat like velcro and causes matting. Keeping your dog on a regular grooming schedule will help keep that coat a nice length for easy maintenance and keep those feet clean so they don’t track in all the snow and salt into your house!

Dog Grooming with a Fine-Toothed Comb✨

Want a tool to help you stay on top of matting? This is the comb for you!🪮 Using a fine-toothed comb allows you to go over your dogs coat and if you can’t go through a certain part, there is likely matting so it requires some more brushing or needs to be clipped out. Brushing your dog with a comb helps get out the extra undercoat and keep the hair from matting. It seriously is a game changer if you haven’t tried a comb like this before! Super helpful on haircut dogs but also very helpful on dogs like German Shepherds. And if you can’t get it through your dogs coat at all, it likely is a time for a groom!
