Sea Horse Farm

Sea Horse Farm Sea Horse Farm is located in the coastal community of Upper Kingsburg. An outdoor sand riding ring is used for exercising the horses.

It is home to three beloved horses, cared for by local veterinarian - Alison MacKay-Lyons. Green pastures extend from the old barnyard (where animals have been housed since the 1750’s) to Hirtle’s Beach. The horses stay close to home during winter months and enjoy grass for as much of the year as possible through rotational grazing. In the past Alison has offered private riding lessons, but is currently focused on individualized equine care, dressage training and Veterinary Medicine.

Viper rejoining his herd after some exercise. Looking strong and handsome as ever.

As the winter lifts, taking the horses back into the ring reminds me of Skye SHF! Here she is at 3 months. Soon to turn 2 years old.

Off we go while the sun begins to set. Happy ears, despite heading away from his herd. Viper is such a brave youngster and enjoys all kinds of terrain. Lots of pep this evening.

Everything considered, it’s been a mild winter. Jahina has barely grown a winter hair coat. Although she loves her jackets and tucks inside often.
