We offer a variety of indoor, outdoor, training, and sales board options to suit every horse and rider’s needs.

Indoor Board 🏠: Full daily care, turnout, stall maintenance, access to all facilities, and personalized placement for your horse’s comfort.

Outdoor Board 🌾: Limited spots available with structured herd management, high-quality hay, shelters, and daily care.

Training Board 🎯: Professional training rides or lessons tailored to fitness, competition prep, or retraining.

Sales Board 💼: Full-care board with training, grooming, advertising, and sales representation.

🌿 About Us:

Venturing Hills Farm is a large, picturesque property that is home to an average of 40 horses. We pride ourselves on our strong, dedicated team and our commitment to the highest standards of horse care.

🛠️ Responsibilities:

✅ Turning in/out horses
✅ Feeding and providing hay
✅ General horse care
✅ Mucking stalls
✅ Equine medication administration
✅ General barn cleaning and tidying

🔹 Requirements:

🐎 Must have experience handling horses
📚 Willingness to be trained on our specific processes
⏳ 20-30 hours per week, including:
- At least one weekday shift
- One regular weekend shift
- Minimum one night check per week
💪 Fit, active, and enjoys working outdoors
🚀 Highly motivated and a self-starter
🤝 Works well in a team but also independently
✨ Enjoys cleaning and maintaining a tidy environment

Looking for an unforgettable summer adventure for your child? We still have room in our Ponies n' More Ponies and Ponies n' Mountain Peaks camps!

🌿 Activities include: horseback riding, hiking, rock climbing, crafts, outdoor games, and more!

➡ July 7th–11th: Ponies n’ More Ponies – A magical equestrian experience!

Did you know that Venturing Hills Farm is not only a family-owned business but also an entirely woman-run operation?

That’s right — behind one of the largest equestrian programs in the region, nestled on the most beautiful farm, are five powerhouse women who manage every detail of our thriving community. From the care of every horse to the high-level instruction that has built VHF’s stellar reputation, these tiger women (including our incredible owner!) are the driving force behind it all.

Rest in Peace, Kiwi ❤️

Some bonds are simply meant to be, and for Sophie, Kiwi was one of those. From the moment he arrived at the barn, he caught her eye. A few months later, when she started riding him, the coaches were pleasantly surprised at how well-behaved he was with her—especially since he had a cheeky side with the other kids.

By 2011, her family made it official, and their partnership truly began.

Kiwi quickly became a barn favorite, the lesson and camp pony everyone wanted to ride. His sweet nature and gentle soul made him loved by so many. But he had his quirks too—after being bullied by the little boys, he decided he preferred the mares' paddock, where he ruled over his herd of ladies. Pumpkin, his most devoted companion, wasn’t always keen on sharing him.

Though he was a gentleman 99% of the time, Kiwi had a mischievous streak. He was the Houdini of the farm, frequently escaping just to have a gallop around, stir up some fun, or sneak in scratches with his best friend, Fleeters.

In his life, Kiwi adored his people, his best pals Fleet and Poppy, gallops in the field, jumping, grass, and—of course—treats, especially stud muffins. He had the cutest welcoming nicker and the most perfectly symmetrical little face.

More than anything, he was the best pony Sophie could have ever asked for, teaching her and so many others invaluable lessons.
Kiwi was deeply loved, and his presence will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

This one-of-a-kind retreat is hosted in collaboration with , yoga teacher and kinesiologist, and , healer and animal communicator. Together, they’ll guide you through a day designed to nurture your mind, body, and spirit.
