Let’s be clear; while beautiful and entertaining, Lily is a M E S S Y eater 🐓🐔🌽. Thankfully her brothers and sister (Archie, Winston and Freja, all 70+ lb doggos 🐶) are a fabulous secondary backup crew.

This page has been made in honour of all the photos and videos I have and will continue to collect over the adventures of life with Lily.
Lily is a 19 week (as of Sept 4 2023) Mottled Houdan chicken, a breed that’s known for their speckled feather markings and amazing fluffy hair!

While trying to meld in to her other chicken run mates were very mean to her; plucking feathers out, chasing her away from the group, safe places, food & water etc. We tried life in Lilys own spot, where she could see and be with everyone through the fence but where she would also be safe from the bigger meaner birds. However, she was very vocally expressive about how she felt about that sort of lifestyle.

One day when I was carrying some groceries in to the house, Lily helped herself right on in the door and was having NONE of being put back out. On a regular day, Lily will be helped outside, where she will only step within 5 feet away and will come tail-tucked and flapping at any sign of discomfort.

Lily has a kennel with her food and water and a perch where she sleeps at night, and she sure does enjoy a car ride to town. 🚗🐓
