Well I went out to start cutting down the Dahlia field but... Ended up picking tons of blooms and getting some variety pictures done instead.

This week we will have a flash sale on Dahlia only bouquets only $15 each! The plants are being chopped down so this is the last chance for these stunning flowers this season. In Zone 3 the Dahlias need to be dug up and stored inside over winter if we want to keep them for future years.

The blooms are exploding today in the flower field. Looking at the weather there may only be a couple days left in the season before the frost gets here later this week. Very likely the last week of the season. Bouquets available today until frost! Pm for orders.

This week the flower field is a constant buzz as the bees and other pollinators scurry about collecting as much pollen as possible!

Did you know that most flower farmers use sunflowers that produce little to NO pollen !
While they may be beautiful and less of a mess they do little to nothing for our native pollinators this time of year.

Here at Ewenique we use traditional varieties that offer tons of pollen for our pollinator friends.

Well after last weeks frost and accidentally turning the flower field into an ice field I am happy to say we have some beautiful blooms available still this week. Somehow the ice saved the very frost sensitive flowers and plants from Thursday mornings frost! Blooms and plants that were completely frozen in the morning were back to beautiful by afternoon! Amazing.

So thanks to the accidental ice we have bouquets available all week. Some beautiful early fall colours!
