Mom's back to school, so I'm making myself comfortable on the bean bags. No I will not lay in the memory foam kennel, or on the giant floofy bed. The bean bags that I don't really fit on are 100% my favorite choice.

We've been working on my barn skills. Mom wants me to alert while she's not working with the much bigger sister Peggy. While she's working with the larger dog she wants me to sit and relax. I'm working on it and I think I'm getting the hang of it.

It's a hot day and that's perfect for laying in the grass. I'm not allowed to do much right now because I hurt my leg a bit. The vet says it is likely a sprain or strain. I've got one more lazy week then we get to start rehabilitation so I'm strong for when school starts.

Most people meet their pets needs as best they can. In fact, some pets have the life of Riley.

But, recently I saw a post with sales numbers of a shock manufacturer. The number of training collars and shock fences reported as sold were in the hundreds of thousands. The number reported sold for anti-bark collars was well over half a million collars.

Pet owners are still buying these collars despite all the evidence that electric shocks are risky, painful and dangerous. Animals can’t wait until humans know better.

It's my FIRST BIRTHDAY!!! We're travelling so I got to go to the Toronto Zoo where I saw my ancestors from the north (Arctic Wolves) helped mom eat a beaver tail, and then we went for dinner.

So dad likes to go mountain bike racing from time-to-time. Mom hasn't been to watch a race in a long while because her agoraphobia is kinda piqued at these events. But I helped mom hang out trail side and we got to see dad ride into a top 10 at BC XC provincials.
