Golden Ears Dog Walking is Licensed, Fully Insured and Pet First Aid Certified. One that is easier to train and is well socialized with other pups of similar temperaments and energy levels. We walk a full 1 hr on forest trails or the local d***s, and always make sure to include favorite activities as well as re-enforcing already existing training! But mostly, we have a ton of fun! Consultations a

re free and done in your home at your convenience. We also do in home Pet Sitting for all our clients, but ONLY for our clients. Currently accepting new dogs.

This little tyke is staying with me for a whole month. My friend's pet sitter fell through and well finding anyone to look after a dog for a whole month is a tall order this time of year so being that this is my fav breed and they were really stuck I stepped up. Looking forward to her meeting new friends (both human and canine).

So much for dipping in the toes. Today Raven's 30ft lead got stuck on a broken off branch off-trail (chasing a rather pi**ed off squirrel). I had no choice but to go in and rescue her. Not graceful..alot of swearing and fear on my part. With a clavicle that won't totally heal, a tendon in my wrist that is not appreciative of certain movements and legs that are somewhat iffy because of muscle mass loss climbing over fallen trees was alot to ask of my body. But...I did it! I don't want to do it again anytime soon though.

I don't want everyone to get too excited yet. Winter is coming and my legs can get a little rubbery. I was not feeling great for the last 6 days but nothing scary like COVID. I had to forgo chemo this week since what was happening was unclear. Hence no idea what my hemoglobin is at so...next week we will find out. In the meantime I am challenging myself but paying attention to my bodies signals while understanding that exercise boosts my hemoglobin. Company that brings laughter helps but not too many at once. Please be patient.

My first forest walk with my favorite breed in 3 months! It was time to challenge myself and couldn't think of better partners.. They went home tonight and I didn't even get in trouble for letting them sleep with me! I am now officially "grandma" and I have a feeling I will be sleeping with them again.

We managed to get a walk in before it started to rain again. RR's are notorious for staying on the couch when it rains. So I consider this a win!

Guess who I visited today! Nola, and it just happened to be her birthday. She was so excited, she ran straight for the van, jumped in, wriggled behind me and into the passenger seat. Eventually we had to restrain her so I could visit little Jaxson without us both being licked to death. Now normally I don't do pics but today I did allow Mom to take pics which I am sure will show up eventually on her page. This is the third dog from my packs that I have visited in the last few weeks and it feels wonderful to do something other than Dr. appointments. Who will be next? Hmmmm....

Pet sitting Holly on last Saturday's afternoon while an engagement party which turned into a surprise wedding at her home was happening. My soul was happy to see this girl again! We were both content to just hang out and play! Lots of kisses and snuggles.

Today started like any other hanging out with my peeps in our favorite place....the forest. But it nearly ended up being my worst nightmare as a dog walker...losing a dog! Mac our beautiful German Shepard got startled as did Lola. In all the mayhem I did not see where they went...the saving grace was I could hear Lola barking in the distance and I just had to pray Mac was with her. I managed to find Lola but Mac was not with her. My stomach dropped and I was very nearly sick.

I immediately called my nearest client who I knew was home and Mac's people. I was going to be looking for Mac and I needed someone to stay with the other dogs in the van with the AC running while other owners were called....I wasn't going anywhere until Mac was found. I want to give a big shout out to my clients Karen and Rick who immediately hopped in their truck to come to my aid. I also want to thank the lady in the corral parking lot who saw Mac heading towards the entrance to the park. She gave me a direction and for that I will always be grateful. This guy...Joe, was sitting in his vehicle on the side of the parkway but told me he did not see Mac. I burst out in tears trying to call his name. Joe left soon after while I waited for Karen and Rick. Then a miracle happened...I saw two vehicles coming and Joe yelling something out his window...and there was Mac with Joe guiding him towards me. The vehicle behind was Karen and Rick. As soon as Mac heard and saw me he came running! It was such a relief to call Bobbi and Dan to tell them I had him! Apparently on his way out Joe saw Mac and immediately did a u turn and gently guided him towards my location. Rick and Karen were his wingman making sure Mac stayed on track. You are not just a hero to me Joe but to Mac's whole family! Thank you so much for your kindness and caring. I can't even tell you how grateful I am to have such an awesome community of clients and I know that if they were able and it was needed they would have come in a heartbeat to help search. I have never lost a client dog and I am so grateful that today was not that day and I hope there will never be one.

Time to look into GPS tags. I am not techy in the least (I have a love/hate relationship with my computer and my cell) but after today it makes sense.

Today I found out that Samson (our sweet Great Dane) passed over the rainbow bridge on June 4 after a brief fight with lymphoma. I haven't walked Samson for several years but never lost that connection with his family and today I mourn right along with them.

I know that feeling of loss and I know that Sammy's human partners (Sarah/Nathan) are devastated but grateful for the 11 years that he was by their side. 11 years is quite a long time for a Great Dane. My heart goes out to them both and to his extended family. R.I.P. sweetheart, give my love to Bella, Sheba, and of course my girl Rizza. I will write more about Sammy in the next few days but right now I can barely write this. ❤❤

A shy boy gets his groove on!! We have waited weeks for Mac to be ready for his first walk! He is a sweet boy that needs some doggy friends. I paired him with Douglas whom he met at the consultation and will be gradually introducing him to the others over the next few weeks. Tomorrow, one or two more. I'm thinking Nova, Douglas and possibly Lola. Stay tuned!

Unfortunately I scheduled these 2 on the wrong day and Harley let me know she expected compensation. 3rd walk of the day.

Apparently someone else with a stick is worth getting wet for!!

Emma has a dinosaur (pink) but she prefers Rizza's (blue)..it has a squeaky but also a crinkle and she she likes to suck on it..tomorrow both pink and blue will get a bath!

Douglas tried out some of his moves on our little princess (Lola) but she was more interested in grooming her hairy legs, lol!!

Apparently when you add sun and a river together..Luna likes to get wet!

Luna adores any dog that will play with her..Douglas is a favorite playmate of hers. They were having so much fun that even Nova wanted to get in on the action!
