My babies have all gone home, but it feels like there are ghosts in the house today. I can still hear them playing, running around, growling at each other while they play and whining for me to come play with them when I’m not there.

This is our beautiful Zoey. Look at those eyes. Zoey is one of our upcoming mamas this season. Anyone that gets a Zoey puppy will get a wonderful companion. Zoey should be our first mama of the season. Zoey is a Hope baby so will have her mom’s great genes! Watch for pics this summer of Zoey’s sweet babies.

This is our beautiful Tilley. She is another of our up and coming mamas! Tilley has just passed her health testing and we are looking forward to seeing her beautiful puppies. Tilley is a Tula and Murphy puppy. Isn’t she gorgeous?!

Look at this girl! She is the image of her mama. This is Izzie and she is just as lovely as our Hope. Izzie has passed all of her health testing! We know she will be a great mama just like Hope. We are excited about our Izzie and so looking forward to her puppies.

Did you know Australian Labradoodles were originally bred to be therapy and service dogs?

Most dog breeds are originally bred with a specific purpose in mind, which is why there are so many training techniques and handling mind sets out there!

Australian Labradoodles are very intelligent dogs in a unique area. They are very soft dogs that are VERY attentive to their environment and the humans in it. They have a lower hunting and dominance drive and rank higher in emotional intelligence. This is what makes them the perfect family dog or side-kick.

Even amongst the same breed, every dog will be slightly different with their own personality but they all tend to have that soft, cuddly, dependable and gentle demeanour. This is why this breed will always rank #1 in my books!

A little before and after action for you again! This guys name is Rudy. My grandchildren named him ‘Stuffie’ while he was still with us because he was just that cute! I’m quite sure he thought he was a little lion as a pup, walking around with so much confidence! His owners say he’s pretty silly and deeply loved!

Let’s talk about how dogs communicate. Ok so dogs don’t speak our language— we all know that. But they do still speak a language and they speak it constantly! Learning to understand your dogs language can take time but thankfully, most dogs have a similar way of speaking, body language!

As creatures that primarily SPEAK to express ourselves we often forget that we also are speaking through our body language. Well, dogs tend to be the opposite of us, they primarily speak with body language and when necessary, they speak!

Learning what body positioning and behaviours mean for dogs takes lots of time but it’s so rewarding to be in a place of deep understanding with your dog.

Mira and Maverick had a successful date the other day so it looks like more mothering for me in nine weeks!

This guy’s having his big debut next week with our lovely Mira!

He is two years old as of December and is from Murphy & Hope. He is excitable, kind-natured, loyal and excels at hunting birds and cuddling his people when they need some extra love.

We can’t wait to see the gorgeous pups that will come from this guy!

Something I try to teach the children in my life is that dogs speak a different language then us!

Despite their ability to learn our language over time, they will continue to speak their own language daily! It’s our job as a dog owners, (children and adults) to learn their language and respect their communication however different it may be. Dogs have likes and dislikes and a part of how we can have stronger connection with them is to learn to respect their own needs, desires and dislikes. It creates more respect and trust in the relationship between owner and dog.
