It’s Meet the Staff Monday has returned— and it’s me, Brittany! 🐾

Hi everyone! I’m one of the RVTs here at Bridle Trail Veterinary Clinic, and I also happen to be the one behind the scenes running our social media, so if you’ve ever laughed at a caption or seen a post about pet safety, that was probably me! 😄

Being an RVT means I get to wear a lot of hats — from monitoring anesthesia and assisting with surgeries to comforting nervous pets and educating clients. I love the fast pace, the teamwork, and most of all, getting to make a difference in the lives of both pets and their people.

** Update (5/2): Owners have still not been located. After extensively searching (with no one coming forward) and with talking with Animal Services/OSPCA, the puppy was deemed abandoned. She has now found a very loving "fur"ever home ♥ Thank you everyone for the shares! We really appreciate it.

** Update (4/25): Owners have not been located yet, but we’re continuing our efforts to find them. She is currently safe and has settled in with her temporary foster while we continue the search. Thank you all so much for the shares and support — it truly means a lot! 💛🐾

This sweet pup was found near Highway 7 & Markham Rd earlier today.

🐶 Approximate Age: 8-12 weeks
🚹 Gender: Female
📍 Currently safe and being cared by rescuer but in touch with BTVC

Whether she’s answering your calls, booking appointments, or greeting you with a warm smile, Brooke brings kindness and calm to the front desk — and we’re so lucky to have her on the team! 💙

She’s supported by our incredible veterinary assistants — Kristin, Brendan, Alice, Joanna, and Renee — who juggle their back end clinic duties and also step in at the front desk to help keep everything running smoothly. From client care to patient support, they truly do it all! 🙌

🌼 Spring blooms are beautiful—but not all are pet-friendly!
Here are common spring plants that are toxic to pets:

🚫 Tulips
🚫 Daffodils
🚫 Lilies (extremely toxic to cats!)
🚫 Hyacinths
🚫 Crocuses

Symptoms of plant poisoning may include vomiting, diarrhea, drooling, or lethargy. If you suspect your pet has chewed on a toxic plant, call us or the Pet Poison Helpline (1 855-764-7661) immediately.

🪴 Safe alternatives include: African violets, spider plants, and Boston ferns!

Let’s keep your garden—and your pets—safe this spring. 🌿🐾
