When we thought of this event, it came from the days of loading up in a truck and trailer and hitting the road to whatever town the arena was in. Big and small we saw it all. We never left without good horses. The cooler was packed with fresh ice and silver cans. We followed that arena to every corner of the map chasing dreams. Responsibility was an after thought, and our biggest concern was meeting that girl in the stands.
Though I never competed at this end of the arena, we watched as they saved this event for last. They knew that every mom, every dad, and every child would be sitting, watching, and waiting for that music to hit. Every corner and every inch in the stands were full. The fans had the same feeling the rider was about to feel when that gate flew open. A spectacle of sorts, the jumps, the kicks and the roar after that buzzer hit.
Few will ever know that life, but they get to catch a glimpse of it with those chaps, and feel the pounding of monster sized freight trains moving in a way that you cannot imagine. Cowboys hitting the dirt while the beast parades in victory.
We have put together the opportunity for Ontario equestrians to ride with some of the best clinicians and trainers in the world. You can ride and learn from professionals in an array of clinics and watch those demonstrations from the best in the business.
