Lost dog on trails in Stouffville - please do not chase or try to pet. If you have treats toss just one or two as a peace offering. If you have your phone please call the number.
Only try to catch him if he comes right up to you and then be sure to not bring your hand near his face or the top of his head. You could use a belt through the collar as a leash, but be sure not to pull on it, which will make him pull away and try to escape.

Well we’re sure so sad that we’re not out competing this weekend. But I love this healing effort on my boys’ part. So great to see them even if only for an hour and a half before heading back to the other healing spot - filled with amazing care givers, but they have so much to overcome to make it a welcoming spot.

I always encourage owners to mentally tire their dogs out before a walk, to avoid that dashing out the door and pulling from one spot to the next! Keeping the walk engaging is important - some sniffing, some heeling to do an "on by" of exciting things that they don't get to interact with!

Taking your dog for a walk should be an enjoyable event; walks are the primary reason some people get a dog. For some owners, issues arise that make going on walks less enjoyable. Let’s think about some options to help you both enjoy your walks more.

This is such an excellent idea for dogs like Goat who absolutely hate having their nails cut!
https://drsophiayin.com/blog/entry/nail-boards-an-alternative-to-clipping-nails/

Written by Christine D. Calder, DVM, DACVB Many dogs do not like having their nails trimmed and some are outright petrified. Dogs can be taught to file their own nails using a nail board. Dogs learn to scratch on the board using a scratching or digging motion. Nail boards can be purchased or hand ma...

I'm a huge fan of proper use of a crate to keep puppies safe at night and also help with housetraining!

There are good reasons to crate puppies overnight. The most important is safety. Puppies can easily get into trouble if your house isn’t puppy-proofed. Crating helps with house training too. Puppies are unlikely to soil in their crate, and if they wake in the night the crate stops them finding som...
