Have you seen this kitty or know someone who might be missing them?

Found in Martensville with no identification, this sweet cat is currently safe and waiting to be reunited with their owner.

‼️ Did you know?

At Paws Republic, we fought to remain the local temporary housing for stray animals, ensuring they are quickly reunited with their families or cared for before any further steps are taken. This process minimizes stress on the animals and helps reconnect them with their loved ones as fast as possible.

It is against local bylaws for your animals to be at large and by having no microchip or collar identification it makes it difficult for people to have your pets returned quickly. Paws, like all other members of the community, are bound by their processes.

While in our care:
• Stray animals are housed separately in temporary areas designed to minimize cross-contamination and ensure safety—similar to a veterinary quarantine system for SHORT-term housing.
• Each animal receives a documented, full intake exam upon arrival to assess their health and well-being and any recognized urgent medical needs are reported or treated where possible.
• We ensure they are kept warm, well-fed, and safe during their stay.

Unfortunately, due to a recent city bylaw change, unclaimed animals may now be transferred to the Saskatoon SPCA after a certain holding period.

However, in MOST cases:
• Pets are reunited with their families thanks to our and other community member’s efforts
• Animals receive medical care or behavioral support while in our care prior to being moved
• When needed, other rescues step in to assist animals with medical or behavioral needs.

We are committed to providing every stray animal with the care, safety, and dignity they deserve, giving them the best chance to return home or receive specialized help.
