Grc Republic club meet times will be changing slightly as fall sets in and my work schedule changes.

The only change will be that club meet on Friday evenings will only be every other Friday beginning Friday September 30th 5-7pm.
Club meets on Sundays will stay every week 5-7pm 😌

Welcome ! This club is for people of all levels of GRC involvement. You don't have to be involved in the dog sport world or even know what you are doing, you just have to have to show up and have an interest in playing with your dog!

We will be posting new processes, opportunities, evening requirements and more prior to the event but you can be sure that it will be a blast! Limited numbes each club event so sign up early!

What is GRC?
GRC Dogsports is a new breed of dog sport.
It seeks to celebrate and test not only the dog’s Gameness (G), but the Relationship (R) with the handler, and the dog’s self Control (C).

Here is a run down some of the housekeeping details for anyone interested in joining us!

1. You MUST sign up IN ADVANCE through the website (https://www.pawsrepublic.ca/group-classes) IF you have struggles with the registration please let me know as there is an option to add you manually for you to then update your info.

2. There will be more dates added as our availability allows so don't fret if the upcoming dates don't work.

3. PAY before you PLAY! That means ticket purchase will be checked upon arrival, you will have to pay cash or have an accepted e-transfer BEFORE your turn begins.

4. There are LIMITED SPOTS - 8 per 2 hour session - We hope to have MORE dates but LESS people per session to ensure we can get through the sports efficiently and with safety and FUN! So sign up early and keep an eye on dates.

5. You will be REQUIRED to sign a liability waiver - we have a new one that we will be requiring all to sign again.

6. ALL breeds, temperaments and skill level are welcome. We will be there to support and guide !

7. We will be asking all members to support set up and take down. We want to ensure we can all work together and have fun!

8. We encourage personal development and self learning as well as there are some amazing resources out there. We encourage all check out the following and consider becoming a formal member of GRC Dogsports to support the international club and our own.

We are ready to get back in action!!!

We are working on some scheduling and planning 🙂 We would love to hear from all of you because you are the reason we do this 🙂

What days/nights works best for you out of the following for a potential drop-in club night? (Wasn’t able to make a pole for some reason so comment below!)

1. Sunday Afternoons
2. Monday nights
3. Tuesday nights
4. Wednesday nights
5. Any of the above
6. All of the above work just say when and where 😉

I’d also like to know if the following would be your style !

A. Weekly
B. Bi-Weekly (once every two weeks)
C. Twice a week
D. It varies - I come when I can

We are getting geared up to get back at it!

We have a few updates and announcements!

1. We will be dividing our focus and have a “fun club” for drop-in dog/handler teams who want to come out, learn, play, and have some non-competition focused fun AND a more competitive/competition style night for a membership program for those interested in developing their skills and preparing for competitions 🙂

2. We are looking for some committed volunteers to make these nights smooth and enjoyable. Volunteer who can sign up to show up early to set up or stay and take down/clean up and such. We also need members to help each other and learn the ins and outs of the equipment/sport requirements and safety 🙂 This is a CLUB designed to get everyone involved and raise each other up by learning and supporting 🙂

3. We are having a MOCK COMPETITION event in October - this will be fun/inclusive and a chance to learn or show off 🙂 We need volunteers to help get this prepared and rolling too !

We can’t wait to see everyone in the coming weeks as we roll our dates and programs so stay tuned!!

You can still book private rentals through our website but we are taking this time to cool off (haha) and re structure things to make it even more awesome for everyone!

Going to try running things a little different today to keep things smooth. We will be doing weight pull and spring pole from 630 to 730 and slat mill and wall climb from 730 to 830!

If anyone wants to practice SR skills we can also do that 630 to 730 on the mill side of the building!
