It would be nice if we could have some boring weather. Like maybe not so dry that everything turns to dust or so wet that we're in mud up to our knees? Like maybe just something in the middle? Is that possible?

FYI: Riding lessons will be going on as usual all summer. The factors that can potentially effect lesson cancellations/rescheduling would be extreme heat, days with very bad bugs or thunderstorms.

If it is possible to book lessons early in the morning, that is preferable. Lately I've been booking lessons starting at 7am. Its hard to get up that early but it is beautiful riding weather!

Please contact me to book in your lessons for the months of July/August. If you are a ride who has been taking lessons after school, please let me know if you are able to change your lessons to morning lessons.

Yesterday one of my boarders horses (Sadie owned by Shawna Bastien ) damaged her hoof and broke a bone inside her hoof. This injury requires surgery costing between $1500-$4000.

Sadie will be going for surgery tomorrow. Time is of the essence (I will make a more detailed post soon) but to get the ball rolling I want ask everyone who has a few dollars to spare to send a donation to Shawna.

It's that time of year again! I need everyone to vote on the best Halloween costume from the Ladybug Stables Gymkhana! Please vote by liking or reacting to the the photos!

Ladybug Stables Halloween 🎃 Gymkhana

Ladybug Stables will be holding a Halloween Gymkhana (games on horseback) on Saturday October 16th.

Costumes are encouraged but not necessary! There will be a prize for the best costume!

The morning group will go at 10:00am until 11:30am. This group will have all riders that are not comfortable galloping. This will include riders who are on lead line. Riders who are on lead line must have a parent or friend leading them.

The afternoon group will start at 12:00pm until 4:00pm. This group will must all be comfortable at all speeds and in control of their horses. Even those riders who aren't planning on galloping may be around other horses who are galloping and horses like to copy each other so the ability to control the horses is important.

Riders must be mounted at the start time of their group.

Cost:

Riders who don't have their own horse or lease a horse: $45

Riders who own or lease: $35

CONTEST TIME!!! (Contest will be over on August 30th 2020)

Every riding ring has one corner that the horses avoid or think is scary. At Ladybug Stables we joke that there are monsters in those corners.

I would like to see your drawing, paintings or sculptures of what you think the monsters look like! The art will be judged by a third party.

The winner will win one free riding lesson or trail ride for 2 people!
