Looking for a loving family!
Please meet Tony Meatball, who would love to spend the holiday season with a new loving family.

Tony Meatball has been neutered, had his first vaccines, and deworming. He's incredible sweet and cuddly, and gets along well with other cats and dogs. His foster mom states that he "may be the most affectionate cat I've ever met, and could potentially cure depression. He also knows how to use the litter box, but may require a slow feeder because he inhales food a mouthful at a time."

If Tony Meatball might suit your family, please call the Maxville Clinic at 613-527-1444.

New border crossing regulation will go into effect August 1st 2024 for dogs crossing from Canada into the United States. If your dog has resided in Canada for the past 6 months, the following will be required:

- Your dog is at least 6 months of age
- Your dog is microchipped with an ISO compliant chip (can be scanned with a universal scanner)
- A receipt from submitting the online CDC form - this will be valid for multiple entries within a six month time frame.

The website for the form is found here:

https://cdc-786687.workflowcloud.com/forms/090dc543-7b2f-4538-b2c7-2919d12ecc73

For re-entering Canada, a valid Rabies vaccine with a printed Rabies certificate is still required.

Travelling to the United States with your dog? As of August 1st 2024 there will be new requirements for entering (both by car and plane) with your dog.

These new regulations are still being reviewed, but currently it appears the United States will require:

- All dogs must be six months of age or older
- All dogs must have a microchip, the chip number must be visible on the vaccine records, and given prior to the last Rabies Vaccine
- An up to date Rabies vaccine
- Centre for Disease Control (CDC) form completed by your Veterinarian and endorsed by a CFIA veterinarian.

We are waiting to hear more information regarding these changes, so we can keep you informed on travelling across the border with your pet!
